Summer Events Energize Downtown
A recent series of events in the Historic Quincy Business District brought people from all walks of life into the heart of Quincy's downtown. Annual summer events like Blues in the District and Farmer's Market have become staples in Quincy's unique culture. These family friendly events help make Quincy a great place for locals and visitors alike.

Blues in the District
In its 13th season, Blues in the District has become one of the most anticipated events of the year. This free concert series draws top performers from across the country. Fans from all generations bring their lawn chairs and refreshments and head to Washington Park every other Friday for an evening of socializing, dancing and great music.

Farmer's Market
Held every Tuesday and Saturday from 7am to 1pm, the downtown Farmer's Market gathers as many as 80 vendors from all over the Tri-State area. Thousands of people each year come to Washington Park to buy their locally grown produce, crafts and other unique items. 2010 marks its 28th season.

Locally Grown Food Fest
The 6th annual Food Fest was held August 7 in Washington Park. This year's event included a variety of children's games, an inflatable obstacle course, crafts, educational booths and an Amateur Chef's Competition.
