Economist to Speak at IAQ Meeting  
Dr. William C. Dunkelberg will give an up-to-the-minute economic report during the Industrial Association of Quincy Annual Meeting Monday, June 14, 2010
 
Edie AwardSince 1971, Dunkelberg has served as the Chief Economist for the National Federation of Independent Business and currently serves as Professor of Economics at the School of Business and Management at Temple University where he served as Dean from 1987 through 1994.  He is a nationally known authority on small business, entrepreneurship, consumer behavior, consumer credit, and government policy.
 
The meeting will be held in the Quincy University Student Center Cafeteria from noon to 1pm. Registration is $15 per person and includes lunch. Tables of seven are available for reservation.

Small Business Economic Trends
Last month Dunkelberg co-authored a report based on surveys collected from small business owners. According to the report, the optimism of small business owners raised 3.8 percent but remains at record lows. To read the full report click here.
 
Dunkelberg has presented expert testimony before the U.S. House and Senate on consumer credit, inflation, tax reform, the minimum wage, small business, electronic funds transfer systems, energy efficiency standards, health care and monetary and fiscal policy.

Dunkelberg serves and has served on the boards of NCO Group, ADVANTA Corp., Active-e Solutions, Penn Tackle Mfg., the International Visitors Council, the Ben Franklin Innovation Investment Advisory Committee, and has served as a regional judge for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year program for 10 years.
