Be Safe In The Heat
Heat is interesting, it does something different to each of us and our routines. Some people love feeling the burn outside some strictly remain indoors with the AC . Whatever your preference is make sure to stay safe this summer. If you choose to exercise make sure you are drink plenty of fluids! Dehydration is a key factor in heat illness. If you plan to exercise intensely or for longer than one hour, consider a sports drink instead of water. Sports drinks can replace the sodium, chloride and potassium you lose through sweating. Your exercise routine doesn't have to be sidelined when the heat is on.

Come join us as we support the 5th annual Kids in Crisis KIC IT Triathlon July 1st! One of the area's most exciting urban multi-sport events is comprised of a swim in Long Island Sound, a bike ride into the countryside of scenic North Stamford, a run through the streets of downtown Stamford and a post-race Family Festival...complete with music, entertainment, rides, fine food and more. It's the perfect summer Sunday for families and children of all ages. Look for the Moore Physical Therapy & Wellness tent!

Robert Lewis, CSCS
Robert Lewis is currently a fitness trainer in our Darien clinic. Prior to being a fitness trainer Robert was a PT aide at Moore. Robert graduated from Plymouth State University in New Hampshire with a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.

Rob loves working with
all different kinds of people and enjoys making a positive impact on their lives. Robert is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He likes to snowboard, golf, hike and spend time with his loved ones
in his spare time.
