You may start to be seeing a lot of hearts this week but did you know that February is American Heart Month? Moore Physical Therapy & Fitness wants share some Heart-Healthy Tips just in time for Valentine's Day, where many of us have Hearts on the Mind.

The heart is a muscle, and like any other, needs a workout to get stronger. Bonni is one of our fantastic Fitness Specialist here to help you get in the shape you've always wanted.

 

Bonni's a lifetime Connecticut resident. Although she received her degree in photography from Paier Art College, she has always had a passion for sports and fitness. She enjoys working with people and seeing their bodies and confidence prosper day after day. It is her ambition and delight to help the client reach their goals as individuals. She received her certification as a personal trainer from NASM (The National Academy of Sports Medicine) in 2009.

On our Facebook and Twitter pages, we send out daily tips for healthy living. Here are some of the tips sent out the past two weeks:

 

  • Monday Movement Tip: Find a workout that is fun too! Run, swim, play a sport, rock climb...If you enjoy it, you'll want to workout more.
  • Tuesday Training Tip: Work on Injury Prevention - No one likes being sidelined from their sport or routine.
  • Wednesday Wellness Tip: Be proactive about your health - get treatment sooner before little problems become BIG (and expensive)
  • Thursday Therapy Tip: Stretch, Stretch and Stretch again - proper stretching is the first step towards avoiding injuries.
  • Friday Fitness Tip: Find a program that your comfortable with. Some people like having a trainer, some like independence. Choose a program that you'll like working on.
