2011

Greetings!

It's hot out there!  We hope you're enjoying your summer and staying active despite the heat.  Though on a day like today in the Northeast, it's ok to take a day off!  Remember to drink lots of water and eat lots of water-rich veggies like cucumbers and bell peppers if you are exercising.

Our new Harvard Ave office is in it's 4th week of being open and Steve and his team are seeing a steady stream of physical therapy and personal training clients.  Don't be shy about stopping by.

Happy Summer!

The Moore Team

P.S.  If you 'like' our Facebook page, you'll see a great video featuring Steve Melchionno and his Harvard team.  It only takes a click - thanks!

Getting Ready for Hell Week

By Bonni Thomsen and Paul Landi, Personal Trainers at Moore

Muscle cramps and heat related illnesses are a common factor during Hell Week . The rigors of any sport are greatly increased with the humidity and temperature. Being well prepared is essential to not just perform well, but to survive with minimal effects from the environment. Here at Moore we take our physical therapy background and injury prevention specialty and apply them to improve the body and mind to be able to withstand not just the physical drain of the summer heat, but the mental challenge as well. Utilizing strength training and cardio endurance techniques we help athletes of all ages, be better equipped for the tasks coming up.

A properly prepared athlete can reduce the risk of experiencing sprains, strains and severe cramping by being adequately trained and conditioned the weeks prior to hell week.

Client Testimonials

I am very appreciative of the therapy I received at The Moore Center. I am pleased with Joe Esposito for the therapy he gave me and with the other therapists who prepared me for therapy and also gave me exercises to do.  I will continue doing the exercises that have been illustrated on a printout and given to me on request. Everyone at Moore was always kind and moitivating.
