A Physical Therapist's Role in Rep. Giffords' Care
By Erin Dorsey, DPT at Moore
The nation cheered when we learned that Representative Giffords was well enough to be moved to TIRR Memorial Hermann Rehabilitation Hospital in Houston, Texas, one of the best rehabilitation hospitals in the country. She will undergo intensive therapy to improve her overall function, provided by a multi-disciplinary team including doctors, nurses, speech therapists, occupational therapists and physical therapists. While the doctors and nurses continue to stabilize her medically, the team of therapists will work to improve her ability to move, walk, talk, eat and care for herself.

Client Testimonials
"Moore is a place where I feel comfortable and well cared for. They work hard to ensure that each exercise plan is tailored to the individual, not just the injury. Each time I leave the facility I feel a sense of accomplishment and I look forward to a full recovery!" -Danielle
"From the beginning, I felt that everyone at the Moore Center was concerned about me - about my getting better - from the receptionists through the aides to the therapists. Thank you all!
I will recommend the Moore Center to anyone needing therapy."
-Lise M.
