| Greetings!
Fall has arrived! It's amazing how quickly we went from summer weather to fall weather. We hope you'll take advantage of cooler temperatures and do more outdoor activities like walking, hiking or going for a bike ride. You hear us say it all the time - 'keep moving'.
Our staff has been busy with local triathlons and road races. Two decided to try something new and raced for the first time. Why don't you pick something new to do this fall. Let us know what you come up with! If you need ideas, take a peak at some of our options.

Dancers and Injuries: Straight to the "Pointe"
By Emily Besson, DPT at Moore
If you are a dancer, chances are you've had an injury, probably sprained an ankle, or pulled a muscle. Why are dancers susceptible to injury? Dancers put tremendous stress on their bodies, asking them to move in ways that are unnatural, bear weight on structures which are not anatomically designed to bear weight, and sustain postures for prolonged periods of time. In addition, dancers often practice for hours at a time which leads to muscle fatigue. When muscles are fatigued, they are susceptible to becoming strained. Also, when muscles are fatigued, forces can be transferred to the surrounding tendons and ligaments leading to breakdown.

Client Testimonials
"About two months ago, at my orthopaedic surgeon's suggestion, I began physical therapy at Moore. The improvement has been remarkable. The staff at Moore are a delightful group of helpful, knowledgeable and friendly people who make the therapy sessions a pleasure. " Bill B.
"Early May I was diagnosed with a herniated disk in my neck and the pain was unbearable. I went to Moore and told them I do not want to have surgery and how can they help me. Bob and Noah sat with me and suggested an aggressive approach to therapy and to give it until August to see how my condition evolves. We did, and I am very fortunate to say I feel like I am back to 100%. I didn't miss work and even lived an active lifestyle while doing therapy. I played professional baseball for 10 years and I have to tell you that Moore 's professionalism, knowledge, and thought process was on par if not more efficient than the treatment I received while playing Major League Baseball."
Kevin M.
