Loveland Holds Community Meeting to Review Financial Forecast

Prior to the regular April Board of Education meeting, the Loveland City School District is holding a meeting open to the public to review its annual five-year financial forecast.  The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 16, in the LIS/LMS Media Center.

At the community meeting, Ernie Strawser, RW Baird and Co., will be presenting the district's five-year financial forecast which covers the current fiscal year (2012) through fiscal year 2016.  The forecast includes all the revenues and expenditures anticipated from the general fund over the next five years. There will also be a time for questions and answers from the public. Baird and Co. is an independent financial firm that prepares the annual forecast.

Grease the Musical will be presented by Loveland High School Drama Club from April 12-15, 2012.  The show will be held in the Loveland Auditorium, 1 Tiger Trail.

Sherlock Holmes  Loveland Middle School Drama April 26-28

Loveland Middle School Drama Club is presenting Sherlock Holmes' Hound of the Clackervilles, Friday, April 26-28, at 7 p.m. The tickets costs $5 for students and senior citizens and $8 for adults. Tickets will be available beginning April 16 at the Attendance Desks of Loveland Intermediate, Middle School, and High School.

  Loveland Schools Receive Clean Kitchen Award

Once again, each of the school kitchens in the Loveland City School District won Clean Kitchen Awards given out this year by the Hamilton County Board of Health. The Head and Lead Cooks and our Child Nutrition Staff received the Clean Kitchen award for having two years of perfect Board of Health inspections which are done at least twice a year. 

Hamilton County Public Health (HCPH) introduced the Clean Kitchen Award in 2011. This award is available only to the top Food Service Operation/Retail Food Establishment licensed performers in facility sanitation and food safety education. Loveland has won the award for all of its kitchens both of the years it has been offered!

Art Exhibit

Loveland High School Student Artwork to be Showcased at Downtown Exhibit

Congratulations to the following Art III, IV and Photo I students. Their work has been chosen to be part of the Artists' Reaching Classrooms exhibition. The artwork will appear at the Cincinnati Public Main Library, 800 Main Street, beginning April 27 through May 18. ARC reception and awards ceremony will be Wednesday May 2, from 5:00 - 7:30 pm. The public is invited. Special thanks and congratulations to Mr. Barrett and Mrs. Grant for their work with this program and the achievement of their students.

Spring College Fair at Cintas

The second annual Cincinnati area spring college fair will held Sunday, April 29, 2012. The fair runs from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. The fair will be held at the Cintas Center on Xavier's campus. All high school students and parents are invited to explore college options with over 150 national recognized universities. Special interest sessions will include financial aid, collegiate athletics, and the college search process. All events are free. All grade levels may attend. Free parking will be available near the Cintas Center.
