After the Cap & Gown Mentorship Meeting:
Mentor UAH Students in 1 HourAfter the Cap & Gown Mentorship Meeting

Hosted by: UAHuntsville Alumni Association and T.R.U.E. Chargers Student Alumni Association
Date: This Thursday, November 3rd
Time: 5:30-6:30 PM
Location: University Center Room 127, UAHuntsville
Featured College:  Nursing

*FREE Event - All Alumni are Invited.  No RSVP needed.*

Details:  Every alumnus has a wealth of experience and knowledge that you can share with current students.  But maybe you don't have the time that is usually required of a one-on-one mentoring relationship.  That's what great about "After the Cap & Gown."  They are condensed mentoring sessions.  Meet with current UAHuntsville students and share your advice and wisdom on job-hunting, career, and life after college. What happens after the cap and gown? After past sessions, the alumni rave about the benefit of these meetings just as much as the students.

A different college will be featured at each session but there will be a wide variety of students and alumni from all colleges and majors and we've found that variety is a great benefit to the meetings as everyone brings something to the table.  So you do not have to be a graduate of the featured school to attend.

These meetings will be held on 11/3/11; 12/1/11; 2/2/12; 3/1/12; and 4/5/12 (same time, same place)- try to attend as many as you can to meet and mentor different students at each session.

Tasia knows her way around goat cheese. Let her share her absolute favorite recipes for using chevre. Go beyond salads and learn how to really use goat cheese.

Details:  Tasia Malakasis, 2011 Alumni of Achievement Award Winner, nationally-acclaimed cheesemaker, and President of Fromagerie Belle Chevre, will be hosting a special cooking class just for UAH Alumni.  These classes are relaxed, informal, and great for any food enthusiast.  Classes always include tastings of each dish and special wine pairings.  Enjoy a lovely night as Tasia shares her culinary knowledge with you and a few other guests.  The class will be limited to 12 people and attendees will receive copies of the recipes and a custom kitchen notebook.
