Remediact™ is an innovative concept in the remediation of soil tainted with hydrocarbon contaminants. It is a natural absorbent that has been specially blended with hydrocarbon digesting microbes. These microbes have the ability to turn most hydrocarbons into carbon dioxide (C02) and water. Remediact is designed to environmentally clean-up and restore soil to its precontaminated condition. Soil contamination poses health risks through both contact and leaching. The traditional clean-up of contaminated soil would require costly removal, time consuming transport, heavy machinery and sometimes containment of high toxic materials and sites. More and more situations of soil contamination arises due to the high degree of industrialization and intensities of chemical uses. It is imperative that eco-friendly, cost effective and natural means such as Remediact are implemented when soil contamination situations arise. When used in accordance with the prescribed directions, Remediact will safely and effectively solve your contamination problems with very little labor and equipment expenses. Available in both dry and liquid forms.Top of Page |

The Environmental Solution...
|
Greetings!
For the past several weeks we have been watching and eagerly awaiting more details of the environmental disaster occurring off the Gulf of Mexico. For many of us, it reminds us of the Exxon Valdes disaster from almost 20 years ago.
In 20 years the dramatic metamorphosis and advancement in technology and science are almost unbelievable. If we could have imagined that we would have the types of "gizmo's and gadgets" that we have today... from the iPad to the 3D, slim-line televisions... we would also think and expect that cleaning or better yet, eliminating such environmental disasters such as this massive oil spill would be simple. "Simple" yet, here we are 20 years after the first occurrence and 2 months since this second situation began and the clean up solutions are no better and the technology seems to remain the same!
The "implemented" solutions with this disaster seem the same but there are obviously others that have not been implemented or sought out and therefore, the response and solution is "status-quo." Bioremediation has been around for 20 years and has been proven to eliminate hydrocarbon contamination on land, on water and on machinery. Not only does it eliminate, but it is effective, environmentally sound, cost beneficial and reduces and excludes the negative impact on our environment.
At Environmental Solution, Inc. we believe that it is our responsibility to sustain the health and welfare of our environment. Our products are developed to eradicate disasters such as this oil spill. Disasters that are so destructive to our environment, to the animals and ecosystems - disasters that need to be controlled and effectively and quickly responded to. The solution needs to be environmentally safe for both the immediate and long-term benefits of our planet.
Our products are not only truly "green" (natural, organic, safe and beneficial to the environment) but work better than the toxic cleaning agents currently being used. Our products deliver superior results that are also more economical. We are proud to offer a broad range of products for all your business and personal needs: Industrial, Commercial, Transportation, Soil & Water, Food Processing, Marine, Fire & Rescue, Refineries, Ocean Vessels and Bio-based Solvent Replacements. Contact us today to see how we can assist you in all your hydrocarbon contamination issues - We deliver "Environmental Solutions" for a Cleaner, Greener Planet!
Looking forward to hearing from you!!
"In the end, we will conserve only what we love, we
will love only what we understand, and we will understand only what we
are taught." --- Baba Dioum, Senegalese

Bioremediation: Get CLEAN, Get GREEN just like Delta Airlines!

It's not just another Marketing Ploy...
Forerunners in the consciousness of environmental sustainability, Delta Airlines long ago initiated strict guidelines for environmental standards. These standards pertain to a long list of items including but not limited to, cleaning of machine parts, asphalt and runway cleaning/degreasing as well as, run-off of water that effects storm drains. This run-off eventually reaches many of our water systems such as, drinking water and has an impact on everything imaginable. This is just one part of Delta's personal responsibility to "Think Green" and preserve the earth.
For over 13 years, Greg Cox has been a leader in the implementation of these environmental responsibilities. As the PSA and Environmental Coordinator for Delta Airlines, Greg is responsible for making sure Delta meets these compliances and stringent guidelines. He oversees the environmental compliance for such items as light bulbs, filters, oil clean up and a wide variety of processes for his station in Greensboro, NC. This station location encompasses the operations of both "above and below wing" operations. READ MORE...

Change the World, One Light bulb at a time!
If you want to change the world, start by changing a few light bulbs. It
is one of the best things you can do for the environment-and your
budget.
According to the Union of Concerned Scientists, if every U.S. household
replaced just one regular incandescent light bulb with a compact
fluorescent light bulb, it would prevent 90 billion pounds of greenhouse
gas emissions from power plants, the equivalent of taking 7.5 million
cars off the road. And the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency says
that by replacing regular light bulbs with compact fluorescent light
bulbs at the same minimal rate, Americans would save enough energy to
light more than 2.5 million homes for a year.
On top of that, replacing one regular light bulb with an approved
compact fluorescent light bulb would save consumers $30 in energy costs
over the life of the bulb.
Compact fluorescent light bulbs use at least two-thirds less energy than
standard incandescent bulbs to provide the same amount of light, and
they last up to 10 times longer. Compact fluorescent light bulbs also
generate 70 percent less heat, so they are safer to operate and can also
reduce energy costs associated with cooling homes and offices.
One of the brightest strategies for everyday household energy savings is
using compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) in place of standard incandescent bulbs. While compact fluorescent lamps used in homes are not legally classified
as hazardous waste and only large commercial users of fluorescent
lights are required to recycle, proper disposal of CFLs is still the
best option for both the environment and human health.
Depending on the extent of your local recycling program, CFL
recycling may require special handling or disposal at a hazardous waste
facility. Check with your local solid waste disposal program to find out
how to recycle compact fluorescent bulbs in your area.
You can also check Earth911.org or call 1-800-CLEAN-UP
for an automated hotline. Online, just enter your zip code, press GO,
click Household Hazardous Waste, then fluorescent light bulb
disposal. The site will identify your nearest residential mercury
recycling facility or mail disposal method.
Because a compact fluorescent lamp uses up to 75 percent less energy
than an incandescent bulb and lasts up to 10 times longer, a power plant
will emit 10 mg of mercury to produce the electricity to run an
incandescent bulb compared to 2.4 mg of mercury or less to run a compact
fluorescent lamp for the same length of time.

DELTAL AIRLINES CONTINUED...
Some time back, Greg and another
supervisor attended a seminar where they were first introduced to the
topic of bioremediation and products that utilized bioremedial
technologies to eliminate hydrocarbon contamination. At first, they where very skeptical to both
the process and the belief that these microbes would actually "eat
away" the grease and contaminant's. "It was just too good to be true and this term, "bioremediation"
sounded hokey-pokey," states Cox. The product that was introduced at
this seminar was SpillAwayTM which is produced and manufactured by
EnviroLogic and is a fast acting hydrocarbon absorbent. They where
informed that the product has multiple uses and contained bioremdial microbes
which when in contact with water would activate and literally "eat-away"
the hydrocarbon contamination. They further explained that it was safe, harmless to the
environment and actually all natural. "This just sounded like another
clever marketing ploy that could not possibly be true," said Cox."
Bioremediation is the
process of using naturally occurring, safe and beneficial
micro-organisms to degrade environmentally harmful contaminants and turn
them into non-toxic compounds.
After the seminar they decided to do an online search of the
product. John Paparone was the local distributor for SpillAway+ and they
called him to see what additional information and facts they could find
out. Lucky for them, John happily provided them with the details,
regulation and compliance details as well as samples to see for
themselves. John provided them with SpillAway+ and FleetKleenTM. Both
products are stellar in the field of bioremediation.
Figuring the best way to see what these
products actually do, Cox and his associate formulated a test that would
provide surprisingly astonishing results. Sitting back behind the
facility was an old machine that had been sitting for years with quite a
build-up of grease, gunk and other grimy contaminants. By combining
both the SpillAway+
and FleetKleen to produce a paste-like substance, they
spread it over the old machine and let it sit. Then then sprayed the
machine with water (as water is necessary to activate the microbes) and
walked away.
That
night it rained heavily and when they returned the next morning to their
facility, to their utter amazement, the machine looked brand new. Any old
and existing residue from the machine had been completely removed. To them, having seen what the machine
looked like previously and what it looked like now was just amazing. "I became a true
believer states Cox and I and recommend these products to lots of
folks". I know it's just too good to be true, but when you see it for
yourself, you can't deny its effectiveness.
One of the best advantages aside from its
ability to clean the deepest crevices and cracks on any surface is the added benefit of
cost savings and time. "This
doesn't require any heavy cleaning and you don't have to sweep or pick
up the residue and have it hauled away" Cox says with enthusiasm. Environmentally - its
a win-win!
