Hi Soul Flow Yogis,

 

In the last month I've noticed reading the words 'Soul' and 'Flow' independently of each other at least a few times a week.  Obviously, those words stand out as they are dear to my heart but I feel it is also a bit more serendipitous than that.

 

Soul, as it relates to music, rhythm, body, movement, empowerment, intuition and all that connects each of us throughout this life. 

 

Flow, along with the latter brings grace into our beings and allows us to make our way through life like the rivers through the mountains. 

 

Flow Theory, recently brought to my attention has been established as too much outside of your comfort zone, you walk into a state of anxiety, too much of the same opens the door to potential boredom.  However, when you arrive at your comfort level of complete and ultimate bliss, you are in your flow!

 

So, I encourage all of you, wherever you are in your practice, to find your flow.

AMES Family Fitness Night
Last Tuesday we had the pleasure of participating in Anderson Mill Elementary School's Family Fitness Night.  What a great opportunity to expose families to yoga!  We had a blast and appreciate the invitation.

 

Soul Flow's Children's Yoga Classes incorporate the Angel Bear character teaching philosophy created by Cristi Eley.

Our Children's class is held every Saturday at 10:30 am.  $8 per child/$4 for siblings.

Pose of the Month 
 
Dhanurasana
(Bow Pose)
Bow Pose 
1.     Lay on your belly with arms along side the body, palms facing up.  (use a blanket under the hips if you need extra padding.)
 2. .  Exhale bringing your heels as close to your buttock as possible.  Reach back with your hands and grab your ankles making sure your knees aren't wider than hips width and ankles stay over the knees.
3.      Inhale and lift your heels away from your buttock, bring the shoulders away from the ears and down the back so that the heart opens.  Look forward.
4.       Don't forget to breathe!  
5.       Release the pose and rest quietly for a few breaths letting everything relax.

Burn the TurkeyJoin us Friday November 29th (the day after Thanksgiving) for an awesome HOT Class. 
10:00 am - 11:30 am.  Burn off the Turkey from the day before and be energized and ready to start your holiday shopping!
