Patriots vs. Giants
Super Bowl Sunday provides an opportunity to invite your friends over for the big game. We want to encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to share about a couple of the important things in your life: your commitment to Jesus and your relationship with TBC. For those of you hosting a party, pick up a copy of Tony Dungy's Super Bowl party guide in the Gallery. |

Gift of Love
35 members of TBC (and counting) join a variety of other Marin congregations on Saturday, Feb 11, for a morning of service around the county at ten selected venues. After an 8 am worship at Marin Covenant, teams will move to their site for a gift of love given back to our neighbors across our county as we help care for the environment that we all share. After each team completes their work, we will gather at noon at the Civic Center Park in San Rafael for a BBQ lunch and time of fellowship. It is not too late to sign up, but we do need to hear from you by Sunday, Feb 5th. |

Women's Ministry
Many things are happening in Women's Ministry and we want you to be in the know. The prayer shawl ministry that we introduced before Christmas is ready to kick off the new year. Our Spring Tea is just around the corner and we will play hostess to a women's event for the California Southern Baptist Convention. The details for these events and more can be found here. |

Making Sense of Entertainment & Media
Finally, a seminar for parents and students together that takes seriously the issue of entertainment and media, dealing honestly with both parental concerns and student's questions. Not only does this seminar expose the worldviews at work in entertainment today, but it faces seriously questions such as: Where do we draw the line? Should a Christian listen to secular music? What is a Christian band? What is going on in popular culture? This seminar confronts these questions straight on, and provides the Biblical foundations for your family to develop a strategy for engaging the culture for Christ, right where it is the loudest.
The seminar is sponsored by the Northbay Christian Worldview Partnership and will serve as host to speaker, John Stonestreet, Executive Director of Operations for Summit Ministries in Colorado. The seminar will take place at Petaluma Valley Baptist Church on March 10, from 9 am to noon, followed by a Q & A session with John during lunch, lasting until 1:30. Click here for tickets. |

Are You One In A Million Yet?
God is calling out a million people to pray for 100 million people living in the Horn of Africa. Will you be one in a million? TBC has been asked to take a group to London on April 8-14 to prayerwalk with one of our missionary partners working among people of the Horn. A preliminary team has been identified and will be announced once everyone confirms their participation. Pastor Glenn will be leading the team. What Are You Reading? I just read Margin for about the 10th time. I first read it about twelve years ago and decided it would be one of the books that would stay on my shelf for an annual read because of the importance of its message. Margin refers to the reserves that we must maintain in our lives in order to function as we were intended by God. However, most of us fail in this area and the subsequent pain makes life miserable in different ways. We need to create margin in areas of our life including: relationships, work, play, finances, health and every other aspect of life. Margin by Richard Swenson, M.D., is my recommendation as your must read for the prescription for what ails you. Pastor Glenn |

Word of Encouragement
Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel. As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ. And because of my chains, most of the brothers and sisters have become confident in the Lord and dare all the more to proclaim the gospel without fear.
Philippians 1:12-14
