| Greetings! | |
Because all who are in Christ have been blessed by God.
Because God is at work in lives all around you.
Because God wants to bless others through you.
Because God is able to bless others through you...
...the outreach team would like to invite you on an adventure of trusting God to work through you, to touch another person's life. God has blessed you and wants to be a blessing to others through you.
I believe with all of my heart that God has placed people in all of our lives - I mean all of our lives - in which he prepares and presents opportunities for you to be open to whatever God wants to do through you to them.
It's really not about your skill with people or whether your shy or bold or if you think you don't have much of value to offer others. We're asking if you'll join others in your church in saying to God, "I'm available to you God and willing to let you flow through my life to bless someone outside my church with your wonderful, good news."
If you're willing to embark on this adventure then instructions will come in the days ahead. But you can start today by asking God one simple question, "God, who is in or around my life that you want to somehow reach out to through me?" Then listen for his still, small reply.
Because God has more in store, Pastor Brice

Mission Trips 2011
| |

TBC has received two invitations to be on mission in the coming months. You have been asked to be praying about your involvement. You are invited this coming Sunday, March 6, immediately after the 11:00 service to an information meeting regarding the invitations to Minnesota and Ethiopia. We will discuss details related to both trips in order for you to make a more informed decision regarding your role in either trip. We hope to see you on Sunday.

Come Meet the Baby!
| |
Come meet baby Charleston Moon Stroud, son to proud parents Jay and Mel, this coming Sunday, March 6, following the mission trip meeting. The shower is a come and go affair that will begin around 12:45pm and go until 2:30pm. The location will be at the Butler home, 23 Strawberry Circle, in Mill Valley. The Butler home phone is 388-7751. Since this is an open-house style get-together, stop by to visit with the Stroud family, meet baby Charleston, have a bite of lunch, and share a blessing! Come and go as you are able and bring the entire family!

The 2011 Rice Concert Tour
| Linda and Willis are back home from their California prison tour for their home concert this coming Sunday, March 6th, at 6 pm. (Since they were in CA for this tour, they have nearly been home every weekend so far.) The love offering that we take during the concert will be a benefit fundraiser for the Kim Foreman Bible Institute in Rwanda.
If you've never heard Linda play her electric harp, you are in for a incredible treat. Her blend of gospel favorites and classic rock & roll (yes, I said rock & roll) is one of the most unique sounds you've ever heard. Invite your friends because you won't be disappointed and they won't believe their ears.

| Tuesday Lunch Club | |
TLC, our senior adult ministry, will host a special concert by David Abramsky on cello and piano on Tuesday, March 8th. Our potluck lunch will be served promptly at noon followed by the concert.
David is an extremely talented cellist, pianist and composer. He also as works for Jews for Jesus and travels sharing his testimony through his music ministry, Yeshua Rafar (Jesus Healer). This will be an extremely uplifting and inspirational hour in your week and a great opportunity to bring a friend. We hope you will join us. You can check him out by clicking here.

Gilead House Needs Our Help
| Gilead House is nearing completion and much of the final finish work has been donated by a number of contractors. Boeck Painting is seeking some manpower to help finish off the painting needs. Please let Larry Boeck know (click on his name) if you are available to come help paint on any or all Saturdays: March 12, 19 or 26, from 8:30am - 4pm. He will have the paint, brushes, rollers, ladders, etc. all set to go - we just need your willing hearts and arms. We hope you will help these contractors feel our appreciation for their generous efforts in making the new Gilead House dream come true. It is our prayer that God will richly bless these gifts and the next chapter in the marvelous ministry we know as Gilead House. |

Time Change Sunday
| |
At precisely 2:00 am on Sunday, March 13, we will again experience the changing of the clocks as we move back into daylight savings time. Remember to set your clocks ahead one hour on Saturday early enough not to feel that loss of an hour on Sunday morning. We hope to see you at church bright and early for worship and Bible study.

Memorial Services
| We will celebrate the home going of Don Michaelian on Sunday, March 13, at 2 pm. We will gather again to celebrate the passing of Bobbe Benjamin on Sunday, March 27, at 2 pm. Bobbe & Don were both long time members of TBC and are and will be deeply missed. We ask that you continue to pray for the respective families in the days ahead. Both services will be held in the sanctuary of TBC.

Remember the Heart of the Bible
| The 2011 TBC men's retreat is scheduled for March 25-26 at Camp Cazadero. The featured speaker will be Dr. Tom Cowley, who will help us look at God's love letter to His children. The cost of the weekend will be $75 and will include all meals and two of Tom's books. The plan is to leave TBC at 5 pm on Friday and everyone will be home before 8 pm on Saturday. In addition to your basic necessities, make sure to bring your sleeping bag, pillow, earplugs and Bible. This will be a great opportunity to invite a friend for which you have been praying, as well as, a great opportunity to fellowship with a bunch of guys that continue on the journey to becoming the men we are called to be. For more details, see Dan McLennon or Eric Kwok. You may go ahead and pay your registration by making your check out for $75 and on the memo line writing men's retreat registration and placing it in the regular offering. If you have been on this retreat in the past, invite another TBC guy who has never attended to join you for this powerful weekend. See you at Cazadero! |

Women's Ministry Spring Tea
|
Our Spring Tea theme is Uni-TEA! (hint: Unity!) We will meet on Saturday morning, March 26 from 10:30 to 12:30.
"Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort in his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit,if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy compete by being like minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind." Philippians 2:1-2
All women of TeaBC are invited to join us for this favorite annual fellowship event. Come share a cup of tea, a bite of brunch, and a whole lot of fun! We will also explore some other "TEA" topics related to our shared walk with Christ and life together in the church; including Communi-TEA, Loyal-TEA, Generosi-TEA, Sereni-TEA, Gra-TEA-tude, Hospitali-TEA ...
Register at the information table in the church gallery on Sundays, March 13th & 20th. Childcare will be available by reservation since the men are on retreat, so please pre-register. Contact Susan Butler or Janet Prescott for more details.

Lake Tahoe Baptist Church
| |
For many years Tiburon Baptist Church, along with many other churches, have been collecting and donating used ink jets, cell phones, and laser toners to Tahoe City Baptist Church. The money Tahoe City Baptist church receives from recycling these items has been used to provide financial support for the church day school and other programs.
The money collected has been used to provide 4 vans for transporting children to and from school. In addition, the church provides a preschool, before and after school ministry equipped with computers, Big A Club, Parents' Night Out, My Morning Out, Bible studies, and church services at six different ski areas. The church averages ministering to at least 100 children each day year round. 80% of the children who attend these ministries do not go to church anywhere. The field is ripe and ready for harvest.
Their minister is retiring in a few years and they are concerned about the high cost of housing to bring on a new pastor. They are starting now to accumulate the funds necessary to provide housing for the family. They would appreciate your continued support by donating ink jets, cell phones, and laser toners.
You have probably noticed the box in the gallery to drop off your used ink jets, cell phones, and laser toners. Please continue to do so and Bill & Jean Hagler will continue to deliver them to Tahoe City Baptist Church. Thanks for your continued support to one of our sister churches.

We will meet every Sunday that we have evening church scheduled. We hope you will join us. (There will be no class on March 6 since the Prescotts will be in VA for a first birthday party.) Five Master Patterns
| | If you have not gone online to check out the Five Master Patterns, I want to encourage you to do so by clicking on the link above. I encourage you to do two things. First, click on The Five Master Patterns link in the top bar and read about the concept. This will give you a glimpse into the overall direction of the site and the devotions. Then, go to Email Subscription on the right side and enter your email and subscribe. Read these for at least a week and if you are not completely satisfied that they are worthwhile, you can simply unsubscribe. I hope this will prove to be an important touch by God each day. My friend, Joel Sutton, has been writing for Open Windows since 1998, so his experience as a devotion writer comes through loud and clear. enjoy, Pastor Glenn |

A Big Thanks for Answered Prayer
| | Last year, Gunnar Sandberg was severely injured as a member of the Marin Catholic baseball team. On the heals of our prayer effort for Ruedi & Matthias, we asked you to pray for Gunnar as well. We want to say thanks for praying and wanted you to read the story of his recovery if you missed it in the Marin IJ. |
| AutoGift | Are you doing most of your banking and bill paying online these days? Do you want to be able to make your financial commitment to the Lord when you are traveling? Did you know that you can set up an automatic donation authorization at TBC? Simply pick up an AutoGift enrollment form in the Gallery and return it to the office or Pastor Glenn or John Frierson and we will take care of the rest.

| Word of Encouragement | "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart." Hebrews 12:1-3
