John 20:1-18
Early in the morning on the first day of the week, while it was still
dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and saw that the stone was moved
away from the entrance. She ran at once to Simon Peter and the other
disciple, the one Jesus loved, breathlessly panting, "They took the
Master from the tomb. We don't know where they've put him." Peter and the other
disciple left immediately for the tomb. They ran, neck and neck. The
other disciple got to the tomb first, outrunning Peter. Stooping to look
in, he saw the pieces of linen cloth lying there, but he didn't go in.
Simon Peter arrived after him, entered the tomb, observed the linen
cloths lying there, and the kerchief used to cover his head not lying
with the linen cloths but separate, neatly folded by itself. Then the
other disciple, the one who had gotten there first, went into the tomb,
took one look at the evidence, and believed. No one yet knew from the
Scripture that he had to rise from the dead. The disciples then went
back home. But
Mary stood outside the tomb weeping. As she wept, she knelt to look
into the tomb and saw two angels sitting there, dressed in white, one at
the head, the other at the foot of where Jesus' body had been laid.
They said to her, "Woman, why do you weep?" "They took my Master," she
said, "and I don't know where they put him." After she said this, she
turned away and saw Jesus standing there. But she didn't recognize him. Jesus spoke to her, "Woman,
why do you weep? Who are you looking for?" She, thinking that
he was the gardener, said, "Mister, if you took him, tell me where you
put him so I can care for him." Jesus said, "Mary." Turning to face
him, she said in Hebrew, "Rabboni!" meaning "Teacher!" Jesus said, "Don't cling to
me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go to my brothers and
tell them, 'I ascend to my Father and your Father, my God and your
God.'" Mary
Magdalene went, telling the news to the disciples: "I saw the Master!"
And she told them everything he said to her.

Sock Hop Coming!
Let's go to the hop! Remember the music of the 50's or 60's? Remember when teenagers would meet in the gym or their garage wearing socks without shoes? If you are under a certain age and don't know, trust us but this was a wonderful way to dance. Well, here at TBC were are going to revive the Sock Hop and we're going have DJ with all of that great music.
Don't like to dance? Not a problem. You can watch, tap your foot, eat & drink something and still have a wonderful time conversing with your friends. A good time will be had by all. Put Saturday, May 1st from 7-10pm on your calendar and join us at the Marinwood Community Center for a great evening. You will want to bring a friend to the hop!

Singleton's Honored
For 25 years, Beth (and Craig) have been in the role of music leadership at TBC in some capacity. We paused in the midst of a busy Holy Week season to relax with the Singleton family to honor Beth's 25th anniversary with the church. Will & Devin were able to be with us and Carol & her crew did a marvelous job of providing a Hawaiian feast. If you missed this incredible event, catch a glimpse: click here.

50th Anniversary

Start making contact with all of your TBC friends and acquaintances in far away places for this special weekend to insure they will be with us. We will start taking reservations very soon so watch for more details.

H20: A Journey of Faith
Do you have neighbors or friends that don't come to church? Are you interested in sharing Jesus with them, but aren't sure how to go about it? H20 is a 10-week video series that opens the door of the church and the good news of Jesus in a friendly way. Pastor Glenn is available to facilitate a meeting in your home on either Monday or Tuesday nights. Some groups provide a light meal, watch the weekly video and follow-up with a time of discussion. Complete the whole evening in a couple of hours, 6:30-8:30. These might be the most important 10 weeks in the life of one of your best friends. If you would like to talk more about this opportunity, make an appointment to get together with Pastor Glenn. Want to take a peek for your self, click here to see the H2O intro. Pray about what God wants you to do.

English Club
Many of you know that Craig & Beth host English Club at Dominican teaching English to international students in the ELS program. This program is a great way to expand the English skills of the students and at the same time for the church to minister to the students. Have you thought about being involved? A training event is being planned to teach Conversational English. The training is 14 hours over a two day period and will be held at Living Word Chapel in Novato. They are in process of determining the exact dates. The part is that the cost is free. If you are interested, please notify Pastor Glenn right away.

Word of Encouragement |
"Unless
I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and
put my hand into his side, I will not believe it." A
week later his disciples were in the house again, . . . Jesus said to Thomas,
"Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into
my side. Stop doubting and believe."
Thomas said to him, "My Lord and
my God!"
John 20:25-28
