The Tidings Goes Electronic
Welcome to the early 21st century. As we continue to work on the many ways in which we communicate with one another, this step was the logical and inevitable next step. Our move to an eNewsletter is being done for several reasons. Let us share some of them with you.
If we've heard it once, we've heard it a dozen times that something was being advertised in the Tidings and was missed because the reliability of the delivery of bulk mail is uncertain. Many read about the Sunday event on the Monday after. The moment we hit the send button on the new Tidings, it takes only a minute or two for it to arrive in your email inbox. No more waiting. Our plan is to give the delivery date in the bulletin the week before it comes out so you know when to expect it. The program that we are using for the Tidings also allows us to utilize this function with sub-groups within the church. For example, Beth will be able to create a music ministry list that will allow her to send out a message to everyone at no additional cost. Reed will be able to do the same with the youth, Brice with the young adults, well, you get the picture.
After calculating the cost ($173 per month vs $153 per year), we will be better stewards of God's resources by moving to this electronic Tidings. Some of you are not yet on email or don't have a plan to be. That's okay since we will provide a print version that will be distributed to you at church and also mailed to our very few shut-ins. One of the best parts of the new system will allow us to link to other important online sites. We may have an article that ends with a link to more information and with the touch of a button, you will go there to continue the story. We all know that change is hard, but we feel that the time is right for us to utilize this valuable resource. We hope you will give it the benefit of the doubt. You can tell us how it works the next time you see Pastor Glenn.

LifeBuilders & Young Adults
We are a group of people piecing life together. By assembling the building blocks God has given through Jesus Christ and revealed in the Bible we are discovering a life filled with meaning and joy. This is a place that can make a difference in you and where you can make a difference.
Life Builders Ministry grows out of 4 basic desires...
- Community - linked up to authentic people where I am safe, known, and cared for
- Depth - connecting every part of my life to Jesus as I move from exploration to transformation
- Responsibility - responding to Christ by living responsibly to him and toward others in service and missions
- Rest - discovering balanced living in God's rhythms of action and pause, work and replenishment
A great place to begin is by exploring one of our groups meeting Sunday mornings at 9:40 a.m. (LifeBuilder Bible, ICON: In College Or Not, or LifeBuilder Family)
We would enjoy building life with you. Peace to you, Pastor Brice
