Forgiveness is the fragrance that the Violet sheds on the heal that has crushed it. ~ Mark Twain
A Violet can only be what a Violet is. In the throws of adversity it can only respond with elegance and beauty. Though it be trampled, the Violet asks not, "why me?" But rather, "how may I serve?"
To those who wage war and violently shake their fists towards heaven, she offers her tranquility. To those who shout their words of judgement and labels, she offers her peace. And to those who doubt their own existence, she offers them the world of eternity that radiates from every cell of her being.
The Violet only knows how to be a Violet. Whether loved or crushed, the essence of the Violet remains. Never separated from her Creator, she has no desire to be unlike herself. For if she did, she would cease to thrive.
Your thoughts and perceptions are like flowers. Shower them with Love, allow them to lay down their swords, surrender their needs to be right, and they blossom into a world of forgiveness.
Expanding and multiplying, forgiveness grows naturally within your heart and in the hearts of others. No longer bound to the fiery ways of the world, you are free.
Ask not yourself, "who am I?" Ask the One who created you. Ask that you may know the "Violet" in you, the fragrant part of you that blesses, heals, and seeks peace. It's not the experience that determines who you are. It's what passes from your lips and escapes your heart when you're being loved . . . . or crushed.

A Prayer
by Mother Teresa
People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.
