SPRING PICNIC 2012

It is time to get out and celebrate spring and the great weather that we have in Tucson. Come join the MSN guys for a potluck picnic.

WHEN: SATURDAY, 21APRIL

TIME: NOON - ?? (They close the park at 10:30PM)

WHERE: CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS PARK, RAMADA #1

This is semi-potluck picnic.

FRIED CHICKEN will be furnished. This will be a change of taste to our picnic.

(If you would like a different meat item, bring it along.)

Thom is bringing ice and soft drinks.

(If you want juice or something else to drink, bring it.)

Mike Talbot has committed to bringing baked beans.

We have plates, napkins, cups, forks, knives, etc. taken care of.

SO, what can YOU BRING? Some suggestions:

Maccaroni salad/pasta salad

Potato salad

Cole slaw

Veggies of almost any variety would be great.

We seem to always be lacking in dessert items. Those huge muffins from Costco would be a simple and tasty contribution to the table. Cake, pie, etc.

It would be GREAT if you let me know what you plan to bring. That way we won't end up with 27 bowls of potato salad and no dessert, or some such thing.

Also, there will be a contribution box for donations to help defray the group's expenses.

For more information and/or questions, or to let me know what you plan to bring, contact Joseph @ 520-505-6560 OR 520-576-4273 OR joskelx2@gmail.com.

Picnic Update

Time moves on and April 21 is getting closer. Make your plans and arrangements to join MSN at our SPRING PICNIC @ Christopher Columbus Park on Saturday, April 21, Noon - ???

How we stand, AFAIK (As Far As I Know) :

Fried Chicken-Joseph and Larry

Baked Beans-Mike and MJ

Soft Drinks (NO alcohol, of course) and Ice-Thom

Dessert-Merlin

Plates, napkins, forks, knives, spoons, paper towels, moist towelettes, and so on-Alan

WHAT DO WE NEED?

Today I was browsing through the deli section of my local Fry's and thought, "Oh, that would be good and that and that..." So take a look through your market deli section and see what you find there to give you ideas.  Here are some ideas:

Maccaroni salad

Potato Salad

Cole Slaw

Baked Beans

Fresh Cut Fruits, both singly and mixed

These are just some ideas for you.

THEN there was the bakery:

Fresh bread sticks in multiple flavors

Hot Rolls

Cookies

Cup Cakes

Pies

I know many of you do not cook much, so you can check out your local deli and bring something that strikes your fancy.

It would be GREAT if you would let me know what you plan to bring. Then I can post it so you can see what we have and give you ideas about what YOU might bring. Also, this keeps us from duplicating too much.

If you choose to contribute to the donation box to help defray the group costs, that is great too.

Contact Joseph @ joskelx2@gmail.com OR 520-505-6560 OR 520-576-4273.
