Lunch OUT and Tour Info for August, 2011

Let's have lunch at Miss Saigon and then go to the University of Arizona Museum of Art.

TIME: NOON 

Miss Saigon (1072 North Campbell Avenue) is close to the campus, has its own parking lot, and has a nice variety of economical menu offerings, even to satisfy the vegetarian urge in you.   

PLEASE, RSVP.   I WILL NEED TO MAKE A RESERVATION FOR A GROUP OF OUR SIZE. 

TIME: 2PM

The University Museum is one of those spots of which many seem to have heard, but not too many I have asked have ever been there.  In addition to three current temporary exhibits  , the museum is the home to a renowned  collection of unique art from the 15-century.

"The 26 panels from the Altarpiece of Ciudad Rodrigo comprise one of the most important groups of paintings produced in late 15th-century Spain by the artists Fernando Gallego and Master Bartolomé..."

Admission to the museum for adults is $5.

Closest parking is in the parking garage on Park just north of Speedway. 

NOTE: Campus parking garages are free on the weekends and I have timed this so that it is before students have returned for fall classes.
