Discover one of Tucson's most interesting museums and cultural treasurers! From 1902-to 1934 the Franklin Automobile Company built

America's only truly successful gasoline powered motor car incorporating a direct air-cooled engine.

 

Take a tour through this center of Franklin history and view the incredible legacy of its Tucson's founder and restorer, Tom Hubbard. The Museum displays 23 Franklins dating from 1908 to 1934 The collection is supplemented by a rare slice of ARIZONA history, including prehistoric Indian artifacts, artwork, furniture, and a classic example of Southwest adobe architecture, the historic Peters House.

 

Admission is only $5.00

Directions: From Prince and Campbell go 3 blocks west on Prince, turn South onto Vine to address, at the corner of Kleindale.

We will be trying something new -- "Guest Hosts" for our Monthly Pot Lucks and Socials. Volunteer Guest Hosts will introduce and greet new guests followed by the Birthdays and Anniversary's being announced - dinner line will start at 7:15. Announcements and other information will be just before the desert time. We are also asking that members and guests sign in at the greetings table and pick up name tags. (Members to wear their official MSN name tag and guests to have a name tag made when they sign in.)

The Tucson Pops Orchestra Summer Season will begin this coming Sunday (Mother's Day) at 7PM.

Alan Herman has volunteered to be our Host/Coordinator for the event. You can contact him at 603-5726 for directions and information (between noon & 3PM on Sunday.)

The program this weekend is: Mother's Day Concert Featuring the Tucson Girls Chorus. Laszio Veres, Music Director and Conductor.

If you don't see any social events that "turns you on" and you think others might be interested in participating in, volunteer to HOST.  If you have an idea for an event and space is the problem, contact any of the Steering Committee Members and we will try and work with you to find a place for an event.  Otherwise, to get it on the Monthly Calendar, contact Davis or myself and we will work with you to get it "listed and advertized".
