Greetings!
I don't know about the rest of you guys but Easter was always my favorite holiday, not necessarily the religious side of it -- but the fantasy side!!!
How the heck could this Easter Wabbit lay eggs, I was a bit confused around Easter time (those eggs were just like real chicken eggs but with fancy colors and designs??) - well at least I stayed confused until I found out the TERRIBLE TRUTH -- THERE IS NO EASTER WABBIT!!??
Wasn't it fun though, being turned loose in a field or in the back yard and trying to find where this whimsical waskle might hide those sacred eggs?? Who could find the most?? Would the prize for finding the most be better than just finding these treasures??
And then there is Easter morning -- almost as exciting as Christmas morning -- WOW those big baskets of heaping calories and cholestoral -- there usually was a giant Easter Egg - chocolate coated with fancy sweet colorful spring flowers and lace decorating the entire top of this giant goody -- how the heck could that wabbit lay something this large?? And oh, the heavenly innards of this behemouth delight -- coconut cream filling with real shreads of delicious coconut -- and I remember that it even had a yellow "yoke" color center -- WOW!!
Well, I guess as we get older and "wiser" we loose sight of the fantasies that we were at one time easily convinced were "FACT" and anxiously awaited the annual return of -- Oh well, Easter Wabbit, Santa Claus, and even that unpredictable Tooth Ferry!! We did have some super dupper good days back in the "good old days!!!"
Just figured I would include some information about our largest and most famous chocolate candy source in the modern world. At the bottom of the newsletter under the "HANDY LINKS" is a link to one of Hersey's sites that has all of their "Youtube" short film clips -- ALL very entertaining, I recommend you take a short time out and visit and view and ENJOY the memories.

Hershey 2010 Easter Collection Hops into Stores
The Hershey Company Offers New Varieties of Chocolate Bunnies, Egg-Shaped Sweets and More, to Create Baskets Brimming with Treats this Spring
HERSHEY, Pa., Mar 09, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- What comes first at Easter, the bunny or the egg? According to a recent survey, chocolateEaster bunnies are the number one "must have" item of the holiday*, with more than 90 million made each year**. Hopping down the bunny trail this Spring from The Hershey Company are new varieties of chocolate bunnies, as well as perennial Hershey Easter favorites.
Hop to It:
The majority of consumers (61 percent), savor the most important item intheir basket, taking at least two to three days to eat their entire chocolate Easter bunny*. "Eggs-cellent" Treats:

In fact, these younger consumers indicate classics like Reese's(R) Peanut Butter Eggs and Cadbury Crème Eggs out-hop chocolate bunnies as the Easter candy of choice by a pace of two to one*. Hershey features an "eggs-cell ent" variety of new and classic egg-shaped treats, including:

Flandrau to Reopen
THE FLANDRAU PLANETARIUM AND EXHIBITS REOPEN TO THE PUBLIC APRIL 3RD
(pictured is Hector Vector Star Projector)
Planetarium shows, special exhibits, and expanded hours to reconnect the community with science Tucson, Arizona - UA Science: Flandrau, on the campus of The University of Arizona, will celebrate the reopening of its planetarium and the start of its new expanded schedule on Saturday, April 3, 2010. As of the 3rd, the center will be open to the public seven days a week offering scheduled planetarium shows, science demonstrations, hands-on exhibits, an extensive mineral collection on display, a special exhibit of Bisbee minerals (Treasures of the Queen), telescope viewing in the observatory, and storytelling and exhibits from the Miners' Story Project.
A Tucson tradition since 1972, Flandrau reopens under the guidance of The University of Arizona College of Science. It is this new partnership that makes it possible for Flandrau to reopen to the public and showcase other UA Science: departments and programs such as Biosphere 2 in Oracle and the UA Science SkyCenter, at the summit of Mt. Lemmon just north of Tucson.
"We're excited about this new opportunity to reopen Flandrau and provide residents and tourists with a quality science attraction here in the center of Tucson," said Joaquin Ruiz, dean of the College of Science. "Universities must do all they can to transmit knowledge to the public and spark the imagination of youth about what their future could hold." Flandrau visitors will enjoy many of the same activities and exhibits that made Flandrau one of the most endeared science education attractions in southern Arizona. The planetarium theater will reopen with live sky shows and tours of the galaxy. The public will be able to enjoy hands-on exhibits and science demonstrations in the Galaxy exhibit area. UA Science: Flandrau will continue to offer tours of the heavens with its 16-inch telescope - the largest public viewing telescope in Southern Arizona.
The following live, interactive planetarium shows will be offered:
Tucson Sky Tonight What can you see when you look up in the sky tonight? A planet, a constellation, a galaxy, or maybe a nebula where stars are being born? Explore the wonders of Arizona's beautiful night sky as we show you what you can see with your unaided eyes, give you a deeper look through stunning telescope and spacecraft imagery, and answer your questions.
Touring the Planets Take a journey through our solar system, learning about the planets and viewing spectacular photos and videos - including 3D images of the sun, moon, Saturn and Mars. Find out what we've learned about Mars from the UA-led Phoenix Mission, and ask your questions. Visitors of all ages will enjoy this tour around our galactic neighborhood.
Stories From the Stars Sit back and relax as we spin tales of the constellations and how the ancients thought about the night sky. Learn about the constellations you can see in
Arizona, ask your questions, and explore the mythology of the stars.
Follow the Drinking Gourd Families and younger audiences will enjoy this popular fictional account of how slaves used the stars of the Big Dipper to navigate their way to freedom.
Here are the planetarium show times:
Fridays (beginning April 9) 7:30 p.m.: Stories From the Stars
Saturdays 11 a.m.: Follow the Drinking Gourd 1 p.m.: Touring the Planets 3 p.m.: Tucson Sky Tonight 7:30 p.m.: Tucson Sky Tonight

Tuesday Night Movies - -
Here's something for the next newsletter or for your consideration.
The Tuesday night movies at Bill & Darrin's have been quite a success, but Bill and Darrin are winter visitors and leave at the end of April.
If we want to continue the program, we need a volunteer with a large screen TV.
I have asked Alan as I know there is a large screen TV in his clubhouse, but I didn't get a real answer.
I have or can get the movies, but my 32" TV is in a room that seats a maximum of 4 and I have parking problems. I'll be happy to get the movies if someone can furnish the space.
I don't want this to die.
Davis
Help Needed (rec'd from Davis Palmer)
Thom--I have received a few complaints about my reliance on chain restaurants and a desire for more ethnic fare. While I have April scheduled, I am just starting May and I would appreciate members' suggestions for places they've eaten. I'm looking for moderately priced locally owned restaurants with adequate parking open Sunday evenings. As I previously mentioned, I also need someone who has or has access to a large screen TV and a good DVD player to take over the Tuesday evening movie when Bill and Darrin go back to Michigan. It's been running twice a month, and I'd like to continue at least that often. I have and can get lots of movies, but my home isn't really set up to entertain.I'd still like to put in a blurb about my helper, Christine. She is seeking additional day work as a driver, file clerk, and cook--or any of the three. I have known her over 18 years and trust her completely. Though straight, she has many gay friends, perhaps more than I do. She lives in Central Tucson, near County Club and Grant. Her number is 795-9722.Hope all of these make it into the newsletter.Davis

OPEN FOR SUGGESTIONS FOR DOCTOR
I have received my insurance card for health care insurance. It will go into effect on 01APR.
Now, I am open to suggestions, recommendations for a physician to contact to try to establish service.
Since we have been in Tucson for only a few months, we have no current doctor and know none.
A general practice doctor is really all that I need. There are no serious health problems that cannot be handled by a general practitioner. I prefer a male doctor. It would be great to have a gay doctor, but know one I have asked knows of any, at least none that admit it.
Preferably my doctor should be young enough not to die off before me or retire from practice.
Suggestions welcome. If you prefer not to post to recommendations, suggestions to the forum, e-me direct: jos_kel@rocketmail.comHAVE A GREAT DAY. JOSEPH

Hi Joseph,
I thought that the local GLBT Chamber had a couple of MD's or DO's listed but I couldn't find them. I usually recommend checking on their web sit for services, etc., as they support our gay community, if you haven't checked them out, their web site is:
http://www.tucsonglbtchamber.org/memberdirectory/memberdirectory.php
I personnally don't have a community physician, I am qualified and utilize the VA Medical Facility here in Tucson which is one of the highest rated facilities in the country.
I'm sure our members will be able to give you some more ideas.
Hope all is going well with getting settled in.
Hugs to you guys,

My doctor of the past decade or so is Dr. Timothy C. Fagan of Arizona Community Physicians at Camp Lowell Rd near Swan and Ft Lowell.
He is not gay; he has at least one grown son. I would guess him to be about my age, 60, or perhaps a bit younger. I realize this does not meet your criteria, but he has been an excellent doctor and easy to talk to. I do not know if he is accepting new patients. His office number is 547-9700.
Hope this helps.

Good luck on finding a GLBT physician in Tucson.
I've been here for over a decade.
The first said that he would refer me.
The second was reluctant to schedule appointments: the third, limits my appointment times and makes me wait as long as an hour to see him and won't accept weekend calls.
I have to depend upon urgent care centers for health care problems.
If someone here knows a GLBT physician, would you let the rest of us know?
