May 2011: Volunteer Appreciation

Vol Woman

Vol SaluteVol Luncheon

Last month, Hope HealthCare Services invited all of its dedicated volunteers to  celebrate National Volunteer Appreciation Month. Special luncheons were hosted to say thank you for the compassion, support, generosity and care each volunteer provides to Hope's staff, the people in our care and to their families.  Thank you for sharing your time and talents with us.

Vol 5000 hrs

Special gratitude was shown to long-time volunteer, Millie Blust, who celebrated 5,000 hours of volunteer service at Hope. Her devotion was recognized at the Fort Myers luncheon, where she received a commemorative pin, flowers and well-deserved applause.

Your Volunteer Hours are Very Important to Us

Take Notes

Just a reminder that Hope requires all volunteer services to be recorded - to comply with Medicare regulations. It is imperative that all activity is logged in your progress notes - including the time each activity occurred. This information is entered into each patient's medical record and should include each contact with the individual or their family.

Patient care and support provided by volunteers is essential to our mission. Every volunteer hour is important. Please be diligent and timely with progress notes.

Special Note - Summer Messengers
