For many of you, the holidays are a busy time.  There are dinners to prepare, family visits to enjoy, shopping malls to navigate and greeting cards to write. With this in mind, it warms my heart to know that you each make time for Hope. 

This season can be difficult for those in our care and the gift of your time is often just what is needed to lift their spirits.  A kind word, a gentle touch or a warm smile provides so much joy to those in need of cheer.

In this month's Messenger, you'll find new ways to share your time this season, and year 'round.

Gift Wrapping

Spread holiday joy, help others and support Hope. This season, Hope will offer several opportunities to provide gift wrapping service and encourage donations in support of our mission. All wrapping paper and supplies will be provided.

Hope PACE Volunteers Needed

Weekdays, 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. 

Do you have more volunteer time available or are you looking for a change of pace?  Volunteers are needed on weekdays at the Hope Care Center on Winkler Ave in Fort Myers.  Make someone's day by socializing, playing games,  taking part in activities and assisting the staff with lunch service.  Take a tour and learn how you can help this growing program.  Contact Lynnan Grissinger.

Cookie Exchange

It's time to enjoy the scents and tastes of "the most wonderful time of the year."  Share the holidays, and your favorite cookie recipe, with Hope volunteers.  Enjoy some hot chocolate, coffee or spiced cider provided by Hope and sample delicious, homemade cookies made by your fellow volunteers.

Special Announcement - Hope in Naples

Watch for the new Hope sign in Naples.  Hope HealthCare Services has secured office space on Livingston Road in Naples for services offered in Collier County.  Hope Comfort Care is currently available in Collier.  The new office location will provide space for expanded service offerings and will open in 2011.
