| Message from the CEO | Your great work, year round, is a tribute to our mission to provide exceptional care and support to every individual and their loved ones as they fulfill life's journey.
As we care for others, we must take good care of ourselves and our families, especially at this time of year -- hurricane season gets underway in just a few weeks.
Throughout the hurricane season, our two priorities are the continued support of patients and clients, and the safety and well being of our volunteers and staff.
In order to effectively meet the needs of those in our care, our own personal plans and preparations should be in place. Now is the time to begin those precautionary steps. Hurricane preparedness guides and information are made available each year by a number of sources throughout the community, including newspapers and TV.
Before and after a storm, we work to ensure that each person in our care is safe and has the medications, medical equipment and other items they need, with no disruption in care. Our patients, clients and staff are fortunate that you are exceptionally dedicated as Hope volunteers, focused on meeting their needs.
Thank you for all that you do. - Samira K. Beckwith

Bereavement Caller
Class This class will prepare volunteers to make calls to bereaved
friends and family members approximately ninety (90) days after a patient has
died. The call consists of simple
questions and listening skills. Volunteers are instructed what to do if the friend or family needs to
talk to a counselor. The calls can be
made from the office or your home and are very meaningful to the recipient of
the call. They truly appreciate the
followup. Cape Coral
