| Greetings!
THE TAX CREDIT IS OVER- Did I miss out?
A whole lot of home buyers were able to take advantage of the $8,000 federal tax credit by purchasing a home before the end of April (and they have to close on that home before the end of June). If you were not one of them, but you are kicking yourself for not "jumping in", it is still the best time to purchase since prior to 2003. According to the Case Shiller Price Index, you can actually purchase a home right now for 2003 prices, but pay less per month! How? Interest rates are better by more than a full percentage point. If you were purchasing a home in 2003 for $200,000, you would be making a $1232/mo mortgage payment, but the same home purchased in March 2010 would only be $1087/mo because of the interest rate difference. So if you think about it, you really didn't miss out since you'll be saving much more than $8000 over the life of the loan by purchasing now - but interest rates are predicted to be around 6% by the end of 2010, so I wouldn't wait too much longer!
The current real estate market still has many short sales and bank owned homes for sale that are great buys for purchasers, but if you or someone you know is a SELLER of a distressed property, please let them know I can help. For most distressed sellers, it is usually better to do a short sale than to give up and let the home go into foreclosure (there are some exceptions). I have experience successfully negotiating short sales myself, so don't keep me a secret. I appreciate your referrals and you'll be doing them a big favor by putting my expertise and experience to work!
Best Regards-

Curb Appeal is a phrase that has been used a lot on the HGTV. The idea of 'Curb Appeal' can be referred to in many ways, but what it means most is the outer appearance of ones home and it can be improved easily. Small things can add to the appeal of a home like paint, windows, doors, or landscaping. Owning a landscaping company, we hear that phrase used a lot by customers, who are looking to improve their homes curb appeal. That can mean minimal or major changes to improve the overall appearance of the outside of the home. Adding color to planters, pots, or flowerbeds can add that 'Curb Appeal' desired for minimal cost. Another thing that can add or change the look to ones exterior is trimming of trees and bushes or reseeding a weathered lawn. Sometimes the small things can make a huge difference to your home and may just entice that home buyer to make an offer.

Mortgage Rates are at the lowest level of the year. The 15-year fixed rate mortgage averaged 4.30% this week, while the the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 4.93%.
