2009 Estate-Bottled Dry Vignoles
Winemaker's Notes
Normally we do not make a dry Vignoles from our estate vineyards because the acids are so high that it is difficult to balance a dry wine. The grapes were picked on September 20th starting just before sunrise. We pick our white grapes early because they are still cool and the resulting wine is more fragrant and flavorful.
The aroma is delicate with hints of pineapple, wild strawberry, and honeydew melon rising slowly from the glass. The taste is refreshing with racy acidity embracing flavors of fruit salad with glints of kaffir lime zest weaving its way through the structure of the wine. There is intense minerality in this wine that emanates from the ancient soils in which they are grown and is more pronounced in the dry version of this wine because of the lack of natural sugars. There is a subliminal amount of natural residual sugar in this wine, just enough to carry the aromas and taste of the Vignoles grape. The wine finishes long, persistent, and bold with a refreshing quality that is perfect for spicy foods and shellfish. The 2009 vintage was the first dry Vignoles produced by this estate and hopefully not the last.

2009 Estate-Bottled Icewine
Limited Edition
Winemaker's Notes
This Limited Edition Icewine takes everything you love about our Icewine and multiplies it! The 2009 Estate-Bottled Ice Wine has more residual sugar, 20% as opposed to 15% in the regular Icewine. The wine was aged in French oak barrels to add richness and complexity, and, if cellared correctly, this wine will improve for 10 years. We only make this wine with special vintages, so it will not be available every year. We only produced two barrels of this Icewine so make sure to get yours now before it is gone!
