Last Friday, we had the opportunity to visit an old acquaintance, whom we'd lost contact with right here in the shop! Over many years, we'd spent quite a bit of time with this friend, emptied many a good bottle together and so were really looking forward to getting together again! From the second I saw this buddy it was as if we never were apart! We immediately connected once again! We made a date to get together again this week and I even decided to bring my pal home for dinner. Over dinner last night, I realized how much I missed our contact, how much the friend improved my dinner, and how much I thought you'd enjoy this friend too!
And so, let we introduce you to:
Domaine Brusset Cote du Ventoux Boudalles 2010!
$10.99 a bottle
take a 10% discount on a case of twelve!

Talk about a fruit bomb! This wine reminds us of the old Fruit of the Loom commercials, with the grape guy! This wine not only looks like deep dark raspberries in the glass, but it shows them on the nose as well. On the palate it is supple, elegant and harmonious with blast of juicy red fruit and crisp acidity in the finish, creating the perfect balance! Many years ago we direct imported the wines of Brusset and
had fond memories of many a glass of Gigondas. Since them the estate has expanded to include this wine from the Cotes du Ventoux. Located on a 85 hectare estate in the heart of the Southern Rhone, this property was founded by André Brusset in 1947. The domaine has since passed from Andre, to son Daniel and now grandson, Laurent. It includes vineyards in Cairanne, Gigondas and Côtes du Ventoux.
This gorgeous red is a blend of 60% Grenache, 15% Carignan, 15% Mourvèdre and 10% Clairette. The fruit is grown in sandy soils before being handpicked, de-stalked, fermented and left to mature in vats for around 6 months.
Best thing of all? It drinks beautifully right now and at $10.99 a bottle, we challenge any wine lover to find a wine that brings such immeadiate lip smacking pleasure for everyday drinking! Welcome back old friend! It's good to see you again!
