Volleyball will make a run at its third straight trip to the Elite Eight, rallying behind this strong group of seniors: Nicole Blanding, Shannon Khung, Maggie Collins, Leslie Stinnett, Hannah Kitchen & Farrah Butter. Girls 9th, JV & Varsity Volleyball Teams.

Nash Chevy Check
Students groups are the beneficiaries of a $4,050 donation from Nash Chevrolet. The donation represents $50 from each person who took a test drive at the dealership & mentioned Brookwood. The money will be used by the Student Government Association & Students Against Destructive Decisions. These two student groups offer positive programs & activities for all students throughout the school year.

GCPS is hosting a College Fair for Students with Disabilities, October 13, 11:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Directions.

 

12th grade parent night, August 30, 7:00 p.m. in the Theater. Topics include: college entrance tests, financial aid, the application process & more. A rep from the Ga. Student Finance Commission will be on hand to discuss the HOPE scholarship.

 

10th graders will take the PSAT at school on October 17. If you would like your 9th or 11th grade student to take the PSAT, you may register online under "Testing Fees." There is a $15 charge for 9th and 11th grade students. Deadline to register is October 7.
 

Seniors who still need to pass a section of the Ga. High School Graduation Test & those new to Gwinnett are invited to review sessions. More.

Brookwood offers Driver's Education at least 6 times per year. Info, upcoming dates, & registration. The cost is $345 for 30 classroom hours of instruction plus 6 hours of driving.

Brookwood Night @ Coolray Field, August 24, 7:05 p.m., as the Gwinnett Braves take on the Syracuse Chiefs. Tickets can be purchased for $5 or $7 online. Use special code: BROOKWOOD. Adorable elementary kids promote the event.

  

First PTSA Meeting & Open House

September 10, 6:45 p.m. Walk your student's schedule, meet your student's teachers, & see presentations on what happens in class.

 

Students get club meeting times & sport try-out information in multiple formats. Brief announcements are read each morning by Brookwood Broadcasting students, an informational "loop" of announcements runs on TVs around the school, & paper flyers are posted on bulletin boards.

All girls trying out for the basketball team must attend an informational meeting either August 28 or 30, 2:30 p.m. in Room A119.  Parents of boys & girls trying out for the basketball team must attend an informational meeting, Sept. 4 or 6, 7:30-9:00 p.m. in the Theater.
