 Softball season begins today with games at home at 3:30 & 6:30 p.m. Last year, the team earned a 3-peat as Region Champs & enjoyed the encouragement it got from rowdy fans. According to the AJC, Brookwood will start the season ranked #2 in the state.

Students are learning about new online resources available through GCPS. Check out this 2 minute video promoting the system. 

 

12th grade parent night, August 30, 7:00 p.m. in the Theatre. Topics include: college entrance tests, financial aid, the application process & more. A rep from the Ga. Student Finance Commission will be on hand to discuss the HOPE scholarship.

Brookwood is proud to offer "bell-to-bell" instruction for our students and encourages students to get to class on time with its "Tardy Accountability Program." (Eveyone calls it TAP for short.) Students who are late to class or late to school will begin getting "tapped" on Monday.

 

For those who like to plan ahead...all 10th graders will take the PSAT at school on October 17. All 10th grade students are already registered and there is no charge for the test. If you would like your 9th or 11th grade student to take the PSAT, you may register online under "Testing Fees." There is a $15 charge for 9th and 11th grade students to take the test at school on October 17. The deadline to register is October 7.

Cross Country

Football

$12 tickets to the Dome Game, August 25 at 8:30 p.m., are on sale now in the Field House & will be on sale in the Commons during lunches starting August 16. You'll find some Broncos on the All State Watch List.

 

Fine Arts

 

Dozens of clubs are forming now, including art, band, dance, and drama. A complete list of school clubs is posted online. On pages 44-53 of the student agenda book, you can find club descriptions, sponsor names, meeting times and more. Interested students will receive more info via school announcements or may visit club sponsors before or after school. Many club fees can be paid conveniently online.

  

Brookwood Theater presents I Never Saw Another Butterfly, September 20 & 22, 7:00 p.m. in the BHS Theatre. Tickets are $7 for adults, $6 for students & senior citizens.

Join us for Brookwood Night @ Coolray Field, as the Gwinnett Braves take on the Syracuse Chiefs. We will celebrate Brookwood pride & spirit with a night filled with family fun & fireworks. Brookwood Cluster students will march in a pregame parade, the Brookwood High Chorus will sing the National Anthem & the high school drumline will perform. More Brookwood Cluster schools are adding Facebook pages to their communications mix. Now, you can "friend" Blaze, the Crews Middle bronco, Buddy, the Craig Elementary colt, or Bucky, the Five Forks Middle bronco.

 

There are still some on-campus parking spots available for seniors & those students required to attend classes on another campus. Details.
