Orchestra students in Times Square
Brookwood orchestra students visited Times Square as part of a Spring Break trip to the Big Apple with their teacher. The thirty-nine musicians also toured Radio City Music Hall and took in performances of The Lion King and Blue Man Group.

Academics 

Students in Italy
Senior Latin Students Caitlin Herring & Alissa Koontz toured the Roman Forum as part of a Spring Break trip. Fifty-five Broncos spent the week with Latin teachers in Rome & six other Italian cities, studying two millennia of history, art, culture, architecture & religion.

Seniors who have an "A" average may be able to exempt final exams.  Exam exemption criteria

Don't miss the madcap antics aboard an oceanliner voyage from New York to London.

Muscial Theater presents Anything Goes, April 26, 27 & 28, 7:00 p.m. in the BHS Theatre.  Tickets can be purchased during lunches or at the door.  $7 for adults, $6 for students & senior citizens.

Spain
Twenty-five Spanish students and their teachers experienced the culture first hand.  The group especially enjoyed Flamenco dancing and tapas during its trip to Spain.

Barnes & Noble at The Avenue is hosting a Brookwood Book Fair on April 13-14. When you use this voucher, a percentage of net sales goes to the BHS Media Center. As part of the book fair, students will perform at the store.   Stop by to see:

The Sadie Hawkins Dance is TONIGHT, 7:30-10:30 p.m. in the Commons Area.  It's dressy casual.  Khakis & collared shirts & spring dresses are appropriate. No tickets available at the door.
The dance is a Relay for Life benefit and is chaperoned by Brookwood staff.

 

The PTSA will feed over 800 giddy, graduating seniors at the stadium on May 23 at 9:00 a.m., just before they do a final run-through of the graduation ceremony.  You don't want to miss this last chance to show this fantastic group of kids just how proud you are of them.  You can help by volunteering to set-up, serve, clean-up or make a food or monetary donation. Contact Sheila Boales at 770-736-2807 or by email.

 

Beth Malonoski has volunteered to put together a slideshow of senior photos to be shown before the Baccalaureate ceremony on May 20. Parents of seniors may send school-related photos of their seniors in .jpeg format to Beth by email before April 28.

 

All of us know a graduating senior who we watched grow up, who we've seen handle challenges, whom we admire.  The senior letter project is a way for us to let 'em know that we wish them well as they move on to pursue their dreams.  Let's start writing.  Letters of encouragement are due April 16.  More info.

 

Seniors who ordered graduation announcements may pick them up in the Commons during lunch April 18. Seniors may pick up caps & gowns April 27 during lunch.
