9th and 10th grade parent night, February 6, 7:00 p.m. in the BHS Theatre. A representative from the Georgia Student Finance Commission will speak on changes to the HOPE Scholarship and GAcollege411.
Parents & students are invited to explore the AP classes offered at Brookwood at an AP Information Fair, February 7, 7:00 p.m. in the Commons Area.
The State Board of Education has signed a resolution making February 8 AP Day in Georgia. AP Classes will celebrate during the school day.

Locations, dates, cost and more.
Defensive Driving course offered through the community School. This course is set up by the Georgia Safety Council to help satisfy the state requirements. State law has mandated that students will receive a discount on insurance rates upon completion of this course. Check with your insurance agent before registering. Two nights: February 6 & 8, 6:00-9:00 p.m. $35. Call 770-978-5064 to register.
Help make Valentine's Day sweeter for the Brookwood staff. PTSA will host a chocolate dessert bar for BHS employees. You can help by baking, collecting or serving. Chocolate desserts will be dropped off at school on February 13 between 7:00-11:00 a.m. (Nothing that needs refrigeration, please.) Helpers will collect from 7:00-9:00 a.m. or 9:00-11:00 a.m. Servers will help distribute to staff on February 14, 9:30-11:30 a.m. or 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Contact Bev Lee by email or 678-344-0255.
Miss Brookwood Scholarship Pageant, February 11, 7:00 p.m. in the Theatre. $10 tickets on sale during lunches February 7-8. Get them early; it's always a sell-out. No tickets will be available at the door.
