Students and parents interested in Dual Enrollment are invited to an information meeting, January 26, 7:00 p.m. in F1. Dual Enrollment students take college courses while still enrolled in high school. They earn both high school and college credit simultaneously. Eligible students are juniors and seniors whose academic GPAs are 3.0 and above.

  

Graduating seniors who have an "A" in a course at the end of the semester may be able to exempt the final exam.  Detailed exam exemption criteria.

9th and 10th Grade Parent Night, February 6, 7:00 p.m. in the Theatre.  A representative from the Georgia Student Finance Commission will speak on changes to HOPE and GAcollege411. 

 

Parents & students are invited to explore the AP classes offered at Brookwood at an AP Information Fair, February 7, 7:00 p.m. in the Commons Area.

Vote for BHS to win a $10K School Spirit Award!  Designed to support Ga. schools by distributing funds based upon online voting, the program is funded by a Buford dentist.  Vote at this link before January 31.  No limit to the number of times you can vote.

Senior Graduation fees will be paid on January 26th for boys and 27th for girls. $90 covers cap and gown and all graduation expenses.  Checks payable to Balfour accepted in the Commons during all lunches. 

 

Parents of current 8th graders will tour BHS, visit classrooms & meet with administrators on the morning of February 2.  More

 

Miss Brookwood Scholarship Pageant needs senior guys to escort the contestants on stage, two M.C.s, & talented Brookwood students interested in performing during the show. Interested students may contact Pat Durkin by email. The pageant is February 11, 7:00 p.m. in the Theatre.

Special Olympics Basketball & Bowling

Brookwood Skills and Competition Basketball Teams, plus five Special Olympian Bronco Bowlers head to the State Indoor Winter Olympics, January 20-22 in Cobb County.
