Farm Cat Callaway Looking for a Winter Home
|
You may have met the new farm cat, Callaway. While he is living the life of his dreams - lazing in the greenhouse, catching voles, getting stroked all day long - he would certainly be happier under a roof come December and January. If you, or someone you know might be able to take in Callaway for about 2 months (late November through early February), please contact Andy at the farm or at pennypackfarm@gmail.com.

Come learn how to clean your home without chemicals, using products that are efficient, eco-friendly & easy to use. H2O at Home is new to the US after being in France for 10 years and is the only company of its kind: one that offers tools to help you clean with water, and products that are totally organic, biodegradeable & respectful of the environment. Their products carry the 'Nature & Progress' certification which comply with the strictest standards for natural & organic home care products. Some Pennypack members already have H2O at Home products in their home...and love them! Attend the fundraiser on Sunday, November 8 at 3:00pm to learn how to easily clean your home without chemicals, and raise money for Pennypack! Location - Janice Blade's home, 1218 Marietta Dr., Ambler RSVP - Email janice.blades@gmail.com or sign up in the Harvest House. Can't make the party but still want to make a purchase. Calling
Volunteers for 2009 & 2010 Event Planning Committee |
|
PURPOSE:
Pennypack Farm & Education Center hired a consultant to
work with a committee of volunteers who will produce a donor cultivation event.
The purpose of the event is to attract new donors, grow existing donors,
provide opportunities for volunteers to join the board or provide other
services to Pennypack Farm, and honor those volunteers and contributors who
have already given so much of themselves to the development of this organization.
WHAT:
The Donor Cultivation Event, also called the Community
Appreciation Event, will follow a comprehensive fundraising model on how to
increase the Farm's revenue through an event. Prior event producing experience
would be helpful, but not necessary. No experience in fundraising activities is
necessary, only a willingness to learn and help Pennypack Farm succeed in connecting
to new donors. We aim to have a dinner for 200 people grossing $26,000 on a
Wednesday night in early June.
TRAINING AND GUIDANCE:
Volunteers will be given training and guidance with
marketing, attracting new donors, soliciting gifts and sponsorships, and other
skills in producing a gala event honoring community leaders who have served the
needs of Pennypack Farm.
TIME COMMITMENT:
Meetings will be held monthly from October through June
(nine meetings in all & volunteers are expected to attend at least 7), and will take place during the evening. The full schedule of
meetings has not yet been set. Susan Curry and Angela DiCarne are looking for fifteen volunteers to step forward and
help Pennypack Farm grow a sustainable donor base from which we can strengthen
all aspects of our organization.
First meeting is October 22, 7:00 - 8:15pm at Susan Curry's house in Ambler.
Kindly, call or email soon if you would take on one finite
role in this first big special event. Susan Curry 215-591-1551 suscurry@comcast.net or Angela DiCarne adicarne@gmail.com
