Gardening Advice

It may be January, but you wouldn't know it from the mild temperatures we've had.  Take advantage of the weather and start working on your Spring Gardens!

It's time to plant your seed potatoes and onion sets, get them in the ground by mid-January.

Garden soils should be ready to work in your compost or other organic products. Stop by the store and pick some up today if you don't have a compost heap.

Peppers, tomatoes and warm-season annuals from seed can be planted now.  Keep them in a well lit area with warm temperature.

Spray fruit and pecan trees with horticulture oil/All season Spray.  Prune fruit trees, and prune off damaged and weak tree limbs.

Now is a great time to consider getting your soil tested.  You'll be ready for the spring and summer garden season!
