Texas Hay Supply & Resources
Much of Texas received substantial rains in September after one of the driest summers on record. Some areas around the state received as much as 10 - 12 inches of rain. The moisture has improved outlooks for another cutting of hay. While good news, many areas hay inventory continues to be low, particularly in South and Central Texas. The Texas Department of Agriculture offers a " Hay Hotline" as a service to the agricultural industry to help in locating forage and hay supplies. A weekly T exas Hay Report is also available.
