Women's Night Out  Join us Sunday, August 29, 7 pm in the Fallout, for food, fellowship and worship.  We will unveil our Fall Tuesday morning and Thursday evening studies as well as begin registration for the Fall.
  • You're Invited - Christian Business Owners Fellowship Dinner
    • Thursday, September 9, from 6:15 - 8:30 pm at DoubleTree Hotel in Independence.
    • Speaker - Mr. John D. Beckett, Chairman of the R.W. Beckett Corporation in North Ridgeville, Ohio. 
    • He has written two books and was named "Christian Businessman of the Year" by the Christian Broadcasting Network (1999) and manufacturing "Entrepreneur of the Year" by Ernst & Young (2003).  The cost of the dinner is $35.

    • CBOF is a ministry whose mission is to walk along side Christian business owners as companions-encouraging and equipping each other in the journey of applying the truths of Scripture to our daily lives and businesses.

    • Classes for children infant through 4th grade will not be offered. 
    • Enjoy worshiping as a family.
  • Volunteers Needed:
    • 9:30 service hour: 
      • 2 ½ and 4/5 year old preschool small group shepherd
    • 11:15 service hour:
      •  2 ½ and 4/5 year old preschool, kindergarten and 3rd grade small group shepherd
    • These commitments can be every week, every other week, or every other month.  No direct teaching required.  Our focus is on building relationships with children and their families, and to share God's word through a curriculum that is already provided for you.

    • Both 9:30 and 11:15 hours:

  • Support Our Soldiers - bring items to BPC this Sunday for soldiers recovering at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Details
  • Our response to the devastating floods in Pakistan.  We have sent $2000 to World Relief to help  with flood relief. If you wish to make a donation above your regular giving, please go through World Relief. Click here for details.
  • Can You Donate?  We are asking for books-on-tape for Malachi House, a non-denominational residence serving people whom doctors say will live only 90 days.  Bring your books-on-tape to the Welcome Center.

  • Nursing Home Ministry Training Seminar Sept. 25 from 9:00am-3:00pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 27993 Detroit Rd., Westlake. Lunch will be provided. Interested in providing Christ centered love and hope to Nursing Home residents? Contact Elaine Edkin for information and to register.

  • Short Term Mission Opportunity in September - Join John & Marie Murtha at the WEC Annual Conference Sept. 12-18. Six to eight people are needed to help with childcare/cooking and a drummer is needed to be part of the worship team. Contact Julie Jones for details.

Community Corner   
  • Like to quilt?  Bay Presbyterian Mission Quilters meet once a month on the first Sunday, from 12:30 - 2:30 pm in E200, beginning September.  They sew blankets for children who are seriously ill, traumatized or just need comfort. Blankets are donated to the National Project Linus through the Cleveland Chapter.  Call x101, or email sneeson@baypres.org 
  • Cornerstone of Hope Bereavement Group starts a new session, Tuesday, September 28.  The session will run for 8 weeks on Tuesdays, 6:30 - 8:00 pm.  If you are in need of support from a loss, please email sneeson@baypres.org, or call x101.
