Walk FORE the Cure!
Regions Charity Classic and Susan G. Komen for the Cure are teaming up Saturday, May 15th for the 2nd annual Walk FORE the Cure during the Regions Charity Classic. Last year they raised more than $11,000 with over 150 walkers participating. Let's try and double that goal for 2010! The $40 package includes a pink Walk FORE the Cure wristband good for entry into the tournament, 4 Executive Club tickets and a Goodie Bag. Show your support by registering today! Player Profile:
Jerry Pate
Jerry served as a color analyst on CBS, ABC and BBC golf broadcasts during the 1990s. His biggest thrill in golf was winning the 1976 U.S. Open, and his favorite golf shot was the 5-iron he hit to win THE PLAYERS Championship. Biggest thrills away from golf were the birth of his children and his graduation from the University of Alabama. Jerry enjoys watching Clint Eastwood movies, Italian food, his all-time favorite movie is "Animal House," and his favorite band is Widespread Panic. Jerry is an award-winning golf course designer, with more than 30 projects worldwide. He renovated Pensacola Country Club and received Golf Inc.'s 2007 Renovation of the Year Award. Jerry designed Kiva Dunes and Limestone Springs in Alabama, both consistently ranked in the top-100 public courses in the U.S. In February 2008, Jerry became the fifth person inducted into the Pensacola City of Champions Wall of Fame by the Pensacola Sports Association.
