SWANCC provides member residents with a variety of ways to recycle and reduce waste. 

 

One-day Combined Electronics Recycling and Document Destruction Events

Only the following electronics will be accepted: Computers, DVD Players, DVR/Cable Boxes, Fax Machines, Mobile Phones, Monitors, MP3 Players, PDAs, Peripherals (mice, keyboards, zip drives), Printers, Scanners, Televisions , VHS Players and Video Game Consoles.

Typical documents that can be shredded include medical records, bank statements, personal files, retired tax forms, etc. Staples and paper clips are acceptable, but binders should be removed. Residents will be limited to six banker-sized boxes of documents per event. IDs will be checked for proof of residency.

Ongoing Programs 
Weekly Electronics Drop-off
Electronics can be recycled at four weekly drop-off locations within the SWANCC region including Glenview, Winnetka, Hoffman Estates and Mount Prospect. Please note that Mount Prospect will only be operating through the month of October. In addition, Hoffman Estates will operate through the month of November.

Wednesdays: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
April - October only
