What More Can Be Done to Reduce Waste and Conserve Resources?

Start the school year off on the right GREEN foot and learn how the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County (SWANCC) can assist with your waste reduction goals. An Informational Seminar is scheduled for Thursday, September 20, 2012, from 10 a.m. to noon, at the Agency's Glenview office, 2700 Patriot Blvd., Suite 110.

Who should attend?

This seminar is geared for ecology club sponsors, PTA - PTO environmental committee representatives, formal educators and administrators that are interested in learning more about waste reduction measures and sustainability practices.

Details of SWANCC's programs and resource materials will be highlighted. Additionally, guest speaker Greg Christian, CEO of Beyond Green, will discuss his involvement in implementing a cafeteria Zero Waste Plan for Niles Township High School District 219, while providing healthier food choices from local sources at no additional cost.

Come and find out what more you can be doing to reduce waste at school and meet other educators in the region dedicated to improving environmental stewardship initiatives.

There is no cost to attend SWANCC's Informational Seminar, but space is limited and registration is required. Contact SWANCC at info@swancc.org with any questions.
