Evanston ReBuilding Warehouse

Evanston ReBuilding WarehouseSo you've decided to upgrade your kitchen. Why send the materials from your home renovation to the landfill when they would be perfectly usable in someone else's home? This is the mantra of the Evanston ReBuilding Warehouse (ERW), a non-profit organization that promotes reduction of waste in landfills through sustainable deconstruction and reuse practices. Prices are kept low due to donors, members, volunteers, clients and trainers.

Everyone can shop or donate to the ERW. Contractors, students, artists, building owners, developers  and  Do-It-Yourself residents,  can  find materials for their renovation projects and locate  unique one-of-a-kind pieces at the ERW. Additionally, ERW has classes to help guide you through home construction projects if you are not a pro, classes to build "fun stuff" and continuing education credit classes for architects. You can also become an ERW member for $30. Not only do you become part of the ERW family but you receive many benefits.  These include a 5% discount on all non-sale items; monthly sale items just for members and a once-a-month sale; putting wanted items on a "wish list". Soon to come will be a "Lending Library" and  "Tool Library" for loan.

Some other benefits that the ERW provides is community workforce training, job creation, featuring monthly local artists and guest speakers for on-site community forums.
