Be a Responsible Steward

According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), each year, Americans generate millions of tons of trash, more than any other country.  In 2009, approximately 243 million tons of solid waste was landfilled or incinerated in the U.S.  However, through nation-wide waste reduction efforts, the USEPA saw a decrease of eight million tons from 2008 totals.

Being a responsible steward of our environment is easy.  When each one of us commits to practicing the Three Rs - reduce, reuse and recycle/compost, somehow - every day, waste diversion will continue to decrease which saves landfill space and conserves natural resources!
