What's Going on in July
SWANCC provides member residents with a variety of ways to recycle and reduce waste. There is no cost to attend, but the scheduled events are for residents that live in SWANCC member communities and IDs will be checked for proof of residency.
One-day Document Destruction Events
Saturday, July 16, 2011Winnetka Public Works 1390 Willow Road 9:00 am - 11:00 am Saturday, July 23, 2011* Evanston Civic Center 2100 Ridge Avenue 9:00 am - 12:00 pm *In conjunction with the Electronics Recycling event.
Saturday, July 30, 2011* Niles Public Works Service Yard 6849 Touhy Avenue 9:00 am - 12:00 pm *In conjunction with the Electronics Recycling event.
Typical documents that can be shredded include medical records, bank statements, personal files, retired tax forms, etc. Staples and paper clips are acceptable, but binders should be removed. Residents will be limited to six banker-sized boxes of documents per event.

Only the following electronics will be accepted: Computers, DVD Players, DVR/Cable Boxes, Fax Machines, Mobile Phones, Monitors, MP3 Players, PDAs, Peripherals (mice, keyboards, zip drives), Printers, Scanners, Televisions , VHS Players and Video Game Consoles. View information.
