This weekend, Harris Bank is sponsoring the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County (SWANCC) to be part of a Zoo Eco Expo event called "Be Green in Chicago", held at Lincoln Park Zoo. This event is to celebrate Earth Day, observed on April 22nd, and runs from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday, April 17 and Sunday, April 18.

 

SWANCC's tent will be located by the sea lions and children can make a food box journal and photo frame, as well as recycled paper with wildflower seeds that can be planted at home. There will also be a reading corner each hour to enlighten children about ways they can be environmental stewards of our planet and lawn games to reinforce the importance of recycling.
