SWANCC and the Wolves Team Up
 Old Athletic Shoes Wanted for Nike's RAS Program
In addition to SWANCC's annual athletic shoe collection in conjunction with Nike's Reuse-A-Shoe (RAS) program, the Agency is teaming up with The Chicago Wolves Hockey Team to collect athletic shoes at the following games:
· Wednesday, February 17
· Saturday, February 20
· Sunday, February 21
To encourage participation, The Chicago Wolves are giving a discount of $5 of the day of game ticket price when you call 1-800-THE-WOLVES and ask for Victoria or visit the SWANCC website for details. Discount not available at the box office on day of game. Each person that brings in old athletic shoes will be given a raffle ticket to win great prizes each evening. SWANCC will be conducting its annual shoe collection on May 19 and 20, 2010. To become a collection partner, your school, business or group must be located in a SWANCC member community. Please download an Agreement form at swancc.org and fax it to SWANCC. Once received, promotional posters, collection bags and other project details will be mailed to you. To participate, an Agreement form must be submitted each year.
Since 1999, SWANCC has collected over 70,000 pairs of athletic shoes for Nike's program that are turned into new courts, sports surfaces and playgrounds. For the second year, shoes that are still in good condition will be donated to Soles for Souls.
