A New Year - A New Look
SWANCC has taken the plunge to eliminate paper copies of its Waste Ed newsletter for educators.  By doing this, approximately 5,000 pieces of paper are not being purchased or printed, with an additional savings of $420 by not having to mail it to school contacts. These numbers reflect savings per issue, with 4 newsletters distributed per school year.  If you are not on the distribution list and would like to be, simply email SWANCC at mary@swancc.org.  Each newsletter is also posted at swancc.org.
Start the New Year on the Right Green Foot
-I will take a waste-free lunch to school whenever possible.

-I will take reusable bags to the store.
-I will recycle as much as possible at home and at school.
-I will turn off lights and unplug electronics when not in use.
-I will walk, bike or carpool as much as possible.
-I will visit swancc.org to learn more about reducing waste and conserving resources.
-I will enlighten my friends and family about being better stewards of our environment.
