Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? Can you even believe it's December? Will e-readers be under the tree?

What fun things are you doing for your holiday events? Winter carnivals? Snowman contests?

Share your holiday publishing experiences with us (pictures, events, learning moments) and we'll pass them along!

If you've discovered a helpful site, found a better way of doing something or have a tip that will save other members time or money, please pass it along and we'll share it on your behalf.

It's official. The best 2010 gift book about cats has just been selected by the Cat Writers' Association, a group of professional journalists and authors. And the winner of the Muse Medallion is...The Cat Lover's Book of Days, Ursa Books, Peg Silloway.

Alina Blankenship of Bree Noa Publishing tells us that through relationships that developed from the 2010 IBPA Publishing University, the company secured a place in regional Costcos for 2 of their titles, Get Naked Fast! and Naked Bliss. Also, Get Naked Fast! will be a Vook enhanced eBook and iPad and iPhone app to be released in January 2011 or sooner joining the ranks of Seth Godin, Dr. Joel Fuhrman, Deepak Chopra, and Blair Underwood who have Vook enhanced eBooks.

More Recipes Worth Sharing - debuted Sunday November 14th on QVC's top kitchen show "In the Kitchen with David" - Sheila Thomas - Executive Editor of the Recipes Worth Sharing series was also the on-air guest. Favorite Recipes Press sold 12,103 cookbooks during the show and another 534 were ordered from QVC.com. Watch Sheila in action!

Malloy Incorporated of Ann Arbor, MI has been awarded the Best Workplace in the Americas designation, Best of the Best 2010, for their exemplary human resources practices. Begun to specifically honor printing companies that provide a superior work environment, this year marks the tenth year of the Best Workplace in the Americas program. Congratulations!

Pontchartrain Publishing Co announced that their title Morning Rain was awarded 1st place for Best Interior Design of the first annual Purple Dragonfly Book Awards contest, which recognizes excellence in children's literature.

Prakash L Dheeriya, PhD tells us that his Finance for Kidz Series has been adopted by Millard Public Schools, one of nation's top 6 % school districts, for use in their classrooms.

Mark Wayne Adams let us know that their title Nicholas, That's Ridiculous! has won the Silver Award for Children's Picture Books from the Florida Publishers Association. On another Adams Illustration & Design first production toy design is now Pattern #2299 for Simplicity pattern company. Way to diversify!

Margot Desannoy got some nice ink in the local Montgomery News for her novel, Alex and the Amazing Dr. Frankenslime, being selected as a Mom's Choice Awards Gold Recipient for excellence in the juvenile fiction/self-improvement category.

As an incentive to promote and sell the fourth volume of The Refractive Thinker ™series, the press is offering sample e-book chapters of the other volumes as well as a free e-book from one of the 13 authors of the series.

Midnight Mercury reports that its current title Three Lives from author Joe Washington has been named as a featured title on authorsreading.com. Authorsreading strives to place the best of the non-traditionally published and self-published books alongside the likes of "David Hearne, James Patterson, JK Rowling, Stephen King, Anne Rice, and Jennifer Weiner". Joe is also the Featured Author this month!

Third World Press announced that activist poet Haki R. Madhubuti, the Ida B. Wells-Barnett University Professor at DePaul University (and IBPA BOD member), is one of the esteemed winners of the 9th annual Hurston/Wright Legacy Awards. Professor Madhubuti was honored for his most recent book of poetry, Liberation Narratives: New and Collected Poems 1966-2009. Congratulations, Haki!

Our friends at the US Dept. of Commerce invite you to exhibit your titles at the Taipei International Book Fair (TIBE) for FREE.This show takes place February 9-14, 2011. TIBE is a key publishing trade event in the region, attracting thousands of publishers from Taiwan and Mainland China.They are focusing on the following genres and are only seeking publishers with these types of titles: Education (K-12), Children's Books, Language Learning and e-Books/digital content. They are only accepting electronic and hard copy catalogs, not books. To register, visit this link and fill out the online registration form.
