Dear Friends,
Before you celebrate too much the fulfillment of twelve years of hard work, financial sacrifice and commitment to "the House of Lebanon", allow me to rain on your parade and tell you that the hard part is still coming. I need your input, sage advice, counsel and continued commitment. The task is where do we go from here and what do we want to put in that building? The Committee in charge of planning will be asking for your ideas. We have a little time to plan and your input is important. Let me have your bright ideas!

Dear Friends, On behalf of our Board of Directors, I would like to announce that the Lebanese American Foundation, Inc. is now the proud owner of a permanent home for the House of Lebanon, at 4800 Wilshire Boulevard. It has been a long journey that began twelve years ago. We could not have reached our goal without your encouragement and words of advice along the way. We could not have purchased this property without your donations and participation in our many fundraising events. The perseverance of our Board of Directors along with our Lebanese American and American friends has enabled us to begin a new chapter for the House of Lebanon. Escrow Closes
for the
House of Lebanon The House of Lebanon has a new home at 4800 Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles. It is currently the corporate office of Broadway Federal Bank. The bank will continue its operations in this location for at least six more months, until they move to their new location. In the meantime, Board of Directors is proceeding with its plans for our new home. The Master Planning, Budget and Finance Committee members were announced at the recent Board of Directors meeting. The committee members are: Honorable James Kaddo, Chairman of the Board Mike Ahmar, President Jack Chammas Anise Garabet Dorian Khouri Joe Karaki Carole Choucair Oueijan Hanna Shammas Paul Wakim Ferris Wehbe This group will research and recommend to the board of directors the strategy for determining the actual uses for the building, as well as the financing for the renovation and future operations. Watch for our monthly updates.
