A Monthly Encounter
Are you in search of spirituality? Do you believe that you can still find vital impulses in Christianity despite its long and difficult history? Are you perplexed by resistance to change? Do you wonder if it is possible to reconcile faith and people's reality? Do you want to avoid becoming entrapped in rigid new orthodoxies? Are you not looking for absolutes, but enjoy sharing your hopes and listening to others' ideas? We will be exploring these and other themes. The meetings will be held in Italian.
Mark Dunnam (Rector). Prof. Gianluigi Gugliermetto (Teologo Anglicano), in collegamento Skype da Chicago. Dr. Nicoletta Arbusti (Chiesa Episcopale Americana - psicologa). Co-relatrice e Moderatore degli incontri: Dr. Anita Tosi, Teologa, Chiesa Cattolica Romana.

Bill Tompson and the Rev. Clair F. Ullmann will be our leaders this year.
Jesus repeatedly promises to set His followers free, and New Testament writers liken His passion and resurrection to the Exodus, when God freed the Hebrews from slavery in Egypt. As we approach Easter, then, it is a good time to reflect on what freedom in Christ means. This retreat offers an invitation to explore a range of spiritual practices that can help us begin to experience the freedom that Jesus offers. In particular, we will explore the ways in which Jesus can lead us out of some forms of bondage that we inflict on ourselves. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Clair at: revclair@gmail.com or +43 646720107 for a conversation.
So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." John 8.36

Why Italian Lovers Should become Latin Lovers
In our speaker's view, for half a century "Latin has been placed on a dusty, imposing, ancient pedestal. This is quite wrong - Latin has an immediate, vivid, vital existence today. Even a passing knowledge of the language is a key to the modern world. It reveals not just the roots of English and Italian, but also provides the underpinning of Western art, architecture, history and philosophy. Best of all, though, it unlocks the beauties of Roman literature in the original language." Harry Mount is the author of A lust for window sills (about architecture), and the best-selling Amo, amas, amat...and all that, published in 2006.
All are welcome
