Greetings!
April showers followed me around the Potomac District as churches opened their doors to me for services and mission's banquets, women's groups invited me for breakfast or luncheon meetings, and pastors met me for coffee.
The month ended with a trip to Dulles Airport to welcome my friend, Nathalie Almont for a visit to the Potomac District. |

Glory International Church
I made an impromptu visit to Glory International Church in Silver Spring, MD on Sunday, April 17th. Pastor and Mrs. Joseph Val-Addo welcomed me royally. I didn't expect to speak, but Pastor Val-Addo introduced me to the congregation and asked me to share my testimony and ministry. Pastor Val-Addo and his wife Sophia are from Ghana. I had memories of the three years I served in the Peace Corps in Togo. |

Jubilee Christian Center
Pastor Bill Frasnelli of Jubilee Christian Center welcomed me for services on Sunday, April 3rd and the Ladies Unlimited of JCC had me as speaker for their Springtime Breakfast on Saturday, April 30th. What a warm welcome! Jubilee Christian Center (formerly Trinity Assembly of God) is the church where I served on the pastoral staff for two years before my ordination in June 1992. JCC was host to the Light-for-the-Lost Banquet on Tuesday, April 5th.

I also got to meet Martin Monicell, College and Young Adults Pastor at JCC, at lunch with Steve and Betty Toth after the services on Sunday, April 3rd. Since I had started up reaching out to the students of George Mason University from the local church, it was great to share with Martin.
Thank you Jubilee Christian Center! I always appreciate your warm "welcome".

Potomac Valley Assembly
Pastor John Bryant invited me for services on Sunday, April 10th at Potomac Valley Assembly in Germantown, MD. I so enjoyed renewing friendships and sharing an informal meal with Pastor and his family after the services. Two Fine Arts Finalists shared in the services. One of them is Pastor John and Dawn's daughter who will be preaching her 5-minute sermon. The students will be going to the National Fine Arts Festival at the General Council of the Assemblies of God meeting in Phoenix, AZ in August.
What a delight to reconnect and inspire our youth to serve the Lord! |

Luncheon and Coffee Breaks
Wellspring Ladies Group of Bowie, MD invited me to share with them on Thursday, April 14th. What a delight to see ladies who pray for me so faithfully! The luncheon was delicious and our time with the Lord so sweet.
Pastor Darrell Martin of Christ Fellowship Church in Silver Spring, MD met me for a cup of great Starbucks' coffee on April 29th. How wonderful it was to fellowship and encourage each other to keep on keeping on. Pastor Steve Weber of Freedom Church in Spotsylvania, VA met me for coffee and a muffin at Perkins on April 19th. What a great time of sharing and encouragement! |
