It's May 8th, Armistice Day in France. I am on a short vacation on the way to Port Salou, Spain where our All Europe Retreat for AGWM missionaries in Europe will be held. I am looking forward to reconnecting with colleagues I haven't seen for a long time. Please pray that everyone can get there as many are flying and several airports have postponed flights since the Iceland volcano is erupting again!
Visit in Northern France
From April 17-20 I went to Maubeuge, a city in France right near the Belgian border. Pastor Marc Rizzolio invited me to share my ministry with his church and also with the pastors of the region. I arrived on a Saturday to enjoy a great meal and wonderful company. Then, I spoke to the youth and students about sharing their faith with their fellow students and making use of Connaitre Dieu.com. On Sunday, I greeted the church and shared how I came to know Christ and eventually answer the missionary call to serve the Kingdom of God in France. On Monday morning, Pastor Marc and Laurent, a newly arrived pastor-in-training, and I headed to Lens-Lievin for a regional pastors' meeting. I spoke to the pastors about how God is using the internet to announce the Gospel and how their churches can partner with Connaitre Dieu.com. It was a joy to see their enthusiasm as I shared the testimony of one student who followed the entire process from clicking "yes" to a prayer on the website to attending church and being baptized!

Meet Genevieve and her dog, Snoopy. Genevieve welcomed me as her guest for my four-day visit in Northern France. I enjoyed wonderful meals and fellowship. She introduced me to some of the regional specialties, and I listened intently as she shared her story. Most of all, what a joy to make a new friend in Christ!
I am truly looking forward to seeing so many of you again. Please pray for my preparations for itineration in the USA and departure from France on June 21.
