The USATF Georgia Association will be presenting its Hall of Fame Class of 2012 at the 2012 Hall of Fame Dinner & Gala on Saturday, August 25, 2012.  The Inductees will be honored at a special induction ceremony and dinner at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta downtown. The event will provide an opportunity to honor our inductees and celebrate their great contributions to our sport.

Our five honorees include:

Antonio McKay, Sr. - Captured Georgia High School state meet champion titles in 1980, 1981 and capped off a spectacular season in 1982 winning both the 200m and 400m titles. In 1984 he set the indoor 400 meter record. McKay went on to win the US Olympic Trials and earned a bronze medal at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. Antonio was a member of the gold medal 4x400 relay teams in the 1984 and 1988 Olympics.

Edith McGuire-Duvall - Born and raised in Atlanta, Edith McGuire-Duvall achieved her fame at the 1964 Tokyo Games, winning a gold medal and two silvers. Her gold medal came in the 200m, and the silvers in the 100m. 

Douglas "Buddy" Fowlkes - Was the head track & field coach at Georgia Tech from 1965 through 1992. Fowlkes' list of accomplishments include three Olympic medalists, two World Record holders, 10 NCAA national champions, 50 All Americans, 77 Atlantic Coast Conference champions and 126 All-ACC selections. He was instrumental in bringing the 1996 Summer Olympics to Atlanta.

Edward "Ed" Hamm - A Georgia Tech Athlete, Hamm  broke the world record in the long jump at the 1928 Olympic trials with a jump of 25'11½". On July 31, Hamm broke the Olympic record and won a gold medal with a leap of 25'4¾", becoming the first athlete from a Georgia School to win a gold medal. The Atlanta Journal called him "the South's first world champion in any sport." 
 

Paul Koshewa - led track and field and cross country teams at Westminster Schools from 1955 to 1990. In his 35 year career, Koshewa compiled 490 dual meet wins, 24 individual GA HS State Title Champions. Coach Koshewa led Westminster Girls and Boys Cross Country Teams to 10 team state titles. In 1964, Koshewa was a founding member of the Atlanta Track Club and coached 1970 Peachtree Road Race Winner and 1972 US 10K Olympian Jeff Galloway.
